Oh my god, I had almost forgotten how annoying Tim McCarver and Joe Buck were (are). They do nothing but focus on the negative. And they would not SHUT UP about Pedro's lousy at-bats. HEY, NEWSFLASH FOR YA: WE DIDN'T HAVE PEDRO ALL THOSE YEARS BECAUSE OF HIS ABILITY TO HIT THE BALL.

Morons.

Hey, go Sox. A 4-1 victory. :D

"Keith Foulke trying to give the Red Sox a 3-0 lead in this world series." "Called 3rd strike! And New Englanders everywhere are so close to celebrating a World Series Championship they can taste it."

Watch that first step. It's a tricky one.

That was an awesome throw by Ortiz. :D Its funny, I think they underestimated Ortiz's skills on the field on purpose. Even Ortiz said he would rather not play 1st. But he was pretty dam solid at 1st for the WS.

I think my favorite part of watching these games is watching Eck and Caron before the games, and in between innings. Like last night, Eck starts out saying Welcome to game 3, where the Sox won 4-1, then he says OMG I'm sorry folks, and Tom Caron is like, Eck, don't worry, I think folks know what happened, you're not really spoiling it. :D

Was it me or was McCarver and Buck so quiet in the WS last year? My god those two had no energy or enthauism from doing the WS Games especially in Game 1 and 2. McCarver basically was quiet in the WS and Buck sounded like someone passed away.

It's because they're both Cardinal fans (McCarver played for them, and Buck broadcasts for them) and it couldn't have been fun to watch your team humiliated and have to say nice things about the team doing the humiliating.

That and the fact Jeter wasn't there for them to fawn all over.

I think you were! :D

I watched a few episodes of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" on On Demand cable Saturday night, then I hit the sack early so I could get up at 5:00 Sunday to go skiing.

How was skiing? I cried again at the end of game 4.

Skiing was great. If you can tolerate the cold, the weather was beautiful. Clear blue skies and temps in the 20's. PERFECT for skiing. The snow conditions could not have been better. :) The only thing I don't like about Mt Snow is all the damn New Yorkers that ski there. I sear, EVERY VEHICLE with a NY plate is an SUV. :D
