OK. Since most everyones brackets are rubbish by now from upsets and poor play, lets see what everyone would change.
Starting with the Sweet 16 teams still alive --> pick your new winners and compare them to your original winners. Even include reasoning if you want.
Here's mine:
Original:
Elite 8 -
Illinois vs Ok St
Louisville vs Wake
UNC vs. Uconn
Duke vs Kentucky
Orignal Final 4 -
Illinois vs Louisville
UConn vs Duke
Illinois beats UConn fot the trophy
New:
Elite 8 -
Illinois vs OK St
Louisville vs Texas Tech
UNC vs Wisconsin
MSU vs Utah
Final 4 -
Illinois vs Louisville
UNC vs Utah
Ilinois beats UNC for the trophy
Notes:
Dont count out Wisconsin to beat NC St. Take out thier 3 losses to Illinois and they have a pretty impressive record. I almost wavered on them beating UNC, but I think that UNC will prevail in a tough game. MSU is to physical for Duke's "pretty ballerina" type game and after seeing Andrew Bogut play I dont think that Kentucky can stop him and May will have a hard time with him in the final 4.
UNC has the easiest road to St Louis now with all the upsets in the Syracuse bracket. Chicago and Austin are the tough brackets now.

UW-Mil vs Oklahoma St.
I think UW-Milwaukee can find a way to beat Illinois
Oklahoma St's stingy D will stop Arizona
Washington vs. Texas Tech
I think the Huskies find a way to beat Lousville
TT is on a destiny
UNC vs. NC State (what a matchup that would be)
UNC is too good
Wisconson can't keep up with NC State's athleticism
Duke vs. Kentucky
Duke finds a way to beat MSU
Kentucky can beat Utah
Final Four:
Oklahoma St. vs Texas Tech
UNC vs. Duke
UNC beats Oklahoma St.

No one really should count out Wisconsin.. They should be the favorite as they are a 6 seed and NC St is a 10 seed...

Well I got the 3 of the 4 correct thus far going into tonights games..
Zona and OSU was a fabulous game and Louisville again proved to me why they should have been a much higher seed....

I thought Washington would win this game. I am suprised they lost this badly. I wish I can comment, but I was at mass this evening so I missed the game.
Still a great season for the Huskies. I hope they can build on this year's success. I think they got a making of a great team, but they are just not read yet.
Too bad Ok St lost this game. They had a good lead, but they could not seal the deal. With that said, credit the Wildcats. Salim Stoudamire is something else. I know he has been in Lute Olson's doghouse, but this guy can also deliever when it's his time to perform. He did it again.
It's a shame Coach Sutton's shot of winning a championship was denied again.
Arizona has a golden shot to beat Illinois I think. Illini-Arizona should be a very good one.
Texas Tech's magical run is over. This hurts. I was rooting for them to go all the way just so Bobby Knight's critics can squirm. I thought TT had a shot. I thought the refs helped West Virginia all night. West Virginia did lot of clutching and grabbing and that guy from West Virginia should have been called out of bounds when he was trying to get the loose ball.
Illinois took care of business, but now it's going to be interesting to see how they do against the big boys.

That's exactly I thought, too, Louisville should deserve a higher seed, I agree with you that they had proved to us, especially crictics as well. Love that Pitino! I've been a fan of Pitino since his Kentucky days. That is why I chose his team to advance a bit further.
And the most "hated" coach, Bobby Knight is GONE! Good Riddance, BK! :wave1:

Against the big boys? Beating Wake, MSU, Wisconsin (3 times), Gonzaga, and a host of other teams must not be playing the big boys. (They beat 17 tourney teams at least once, not including Ohio State and they have 3 wins over teams in the sweet 16 - including UW-M). UNC and Duke have yet to play the "big boys" but nobody is bashing them for thier tourney schedule. It is a benefit of being a great team and getting a #1 seed to play "lesser" teams.
I too, think that Illinois could lose this game, especially if Luther head is not 100% (hamstring). However, people have been saying all year that they have not played anyone and that their conference is weak and that they would lose when they played a "real" team. Take notice the notes above, and dont forget that the Big 10 still has 3 teams alive. That is the same number as the ACC, and more than the Big East, Pac-10 and SEC.
Arizona can win, but they will have to play even better than they did last night.

I think TW meant the big boys in the tourney...
UNC and especially Duke will have big tests tonight... I would not be suprised if MSU beat Duke tonight...

Yeah, maybe so. I dont care; 2 of the 3 remaining ACC teams left in the tourney just went down at the hands of Big 10 teams! Man, this is awesome. Go Big 10!!!
I will predict at least 2 Big 10 teams make it to the final 4. (Likely MSU and Illinois).
WOOT! WOOT!

No, I don't think so. I believe Bobby Knight is the one but I believe there are a couple of other coaches that everyone may hate. So who cares?

I think Geno Auriemma is the most hated coach in America.
He is a real d!ck.
Can't wait till his UConn squad go down. They have it coming.

So? I know he's hated by ALMOST everyone but he certainly is NOT only ONE. Some do hate Pat Summit, too.(I'm one of 'em but I do admire her coaching style like I do admire Geno's coaching style) Some hate Andy Landers, too. Some hate Tara VanDeer, too (I'm one of 'em). Some hated Leon Barmare, too. So who the f*ck cares?

Pat Summitt? Who the hell hates her besides that prick Auriemma? She is one of the nicest human being in sports. She is a class act and she is well beloved in the coaching fraternity and she is well respected by the men coaches too. She is very humble. I know why you and the rest of the UConn fans hate Summitt. Besides God (Geno) hates Pat so the sheep (UConn fans) have to be led by the wolf (Geno). Whatever Geno says, goes, eh.
I just wish Cappie Pondexter spat at Geno because that SOB had it coming.
Andy Landers is a great guy. He rarely says anything.
Tara VanDever? I know why the sheep (UConn fans) hate her. Is it because she treated that worthless POS Rebecca Lobo like crap in the Summer Olympics in 1996? Is that it? You know what? Good for Tara. Lobo wasn't even that great in the Olympics. Just because she is great in UConn does not mean she has to be treated like gold. Becca was not only good enough for Tara, but she was a disgrace for the New York Liberty where she constantly got hurt and where she was resented by her teammates like Sue Wicks, Teresa Weatherspoon, Sophia Weatherspoon, and etc. The Liberty wanted to build their franchise around her, but she constantly got hurt. I also got news for you. The Liberty drafted Becca for promotional purposes just like how Team USA selected her for promotional purposes.
Anyway, it was great to see Stanford dethroned the Evil Empire last night. That felt so good. All is right in my sports universe.
GO RUTGERS!

Wow.....you think Geno is a prick. Well, let me tell you what I think of you.....
Hell with you....you have to figure out what I think of you because I don't want to risk a warning over this bitter man. From now on, I'm done with you and your bitter attitude since you don't know jack about those coaches because you obviously don't follow everything except few tidbits. No, you're wrong about VanDevedeer and Lobo. There were more stories than you think you know. But, IMO, you're not really worth to argue with because I'm so done with you and your attitude. Have a nice day. :wave1:
