At camp, the Oakland A's have 3 players who have legitimate shots at becoming the opening Day 2B when the team travels to Baltimore on April 4th.
Mark Ellis, who's coming back from an injury that put him out for the season last spring,is hitting a very respectable .297 this spring.
Marco Scurtaro who was the everyday second baseman last season is hitting .237,while Keith Ginter, who played for Milwaukee last season is hitting .238 this spring.
All 3 players are getting an equal shot at claiming the starting second basemans job. But,the A's would end up taking 2 second baseman up north,as they plan on having 12 pitchers on the Opening Day roster.
This should be an interesting battle down the stretch at camp.
