I almost feel bad for Sturtze. He grew up in Worcester a Sox fan. His family are rabid Sox fans. Half refused to root for the Yanks last year. He finally gets to realize his dream of playing at Fenway, he gets beat up, and his team goes down as the biggest chokers in MLB history at the hands of his beloved Sox. :smokin:

Sox won 8-7 on Sunday. :smokin: We left in the 6th up 7-0. I just got home last night. It rained Monday, so I needed another beach day yesterday. Weather was AWESOME!!!!!!!! :sun:

I had a ball. Ortiz threw my niece a ball! I took pics, will post them soon as I get em together. Got a great pic of Ortiz hitting a double. I stayed in Nokomis, which is 20 minutes south of Sarasota, right on the beach. From the minute I got off the plane in Tampa, till I left, I saw seas of Red Sox fans. South Florida, Sarasota County, is RSN. The beaches were packed, EVERYONE ina Sox hat. EVERYONE. Didn't see a Yank hat anywhere.

It seems there are lots of Bostonians living in that area, I talked to lots.

I think the 4-0 loss was a split squad game on Saturday Babs. Anyhoo, guys, even in Tampa, home of Yankees ST, it was RSN. People come up to you everywhere like woohoo! we did it! Hey Red Sox! I honestly think RSN owns south Florida.

Jacqui, we tried to get tickets to both Red Sox/Reds and Red Sox/Pirates, but no luck. They were COMPLETELY sold out.

But I did get to see the Red Sox vs the Reds 2 years ago, and wore my "I love NY but I still hate the Yankees" shirt. I got high-5s, thumbs up, etc. from the packed house. It may have been the Reds' stadium, but there were TONS of Sox fans. Except for 1 a-hole Skank fan who picked a fight while in line for some water (I was talking to a Sox fan while waiting for water while the Skank fan moved his lips trying to read my shirt).
