The "Greatest" Great 8?

I've been watching college basketball for a long time now and I would rank it a very close 2nd to baseball as far as my passion.. I must say that in all the 20 + years I have been watching college basketball, that this was probably the greatest Great 8 weekend I have ever seen in my life!

In almost any year most would be talking about the UNC/Wisconsin game as a great game and Wisconsin played their a$$es off but this year it was probably the "least" exciting game of them all and to me, thats saying just how unbelievable this weeked was...

IMO, the greatest weekend of college basketball I have ever seen and I have seen a lot!!

That Kentucky/MSU game was just sick!!

no doubt about it that its been by far the best elite 8 i have seen in the 10 years Ive been watching the NCAA tournament.

Saturday was probably the single greatest day of college basketball that i can remember.

I dont watch to much B-Ball other than Wyoming durning the season but come this time of year I watch all I can see. This is one of the best seasons I can remember for a long time. Some great games and it should mean some greater games to come.

I agree, the Illinois/Arizona was one of the greatest comebacks, the MSU/Kentucky had one of the best buzzer beaters into OT, and the Lousville/WV game was simply a pleasure to watch. WV was just unbelievable in the first half. In the era of superlatives, this past weekend might actually deserve the best ever ranking it's getting.

I personally thought that the Illini/Arizona match was the single most exiting sporting event I can recall. Of course it is automatically more exiting when it is your team that is triumphant, but I still would have ranked it among the best, even if I was not an Illini fan.

The other games were awesome as well. Great weekend for college hoops. I just wonder if Dick Vitale's wife was ready to kick him out of the house that weekend, I know I could not stand to be near him that long under those circumstances :eek: .
