Rangers traded outfielder Ramon Nivar to Baltimore for left-handed starting pitcher Matt Riley and minor league catcher Keith McDonald. For his big league career, Riley,25, is 4-4 with a 5.40 ERA in 19 appearances/18 starts with the Orioles during 85 innings. He has a career minor league record of 37-37 with a 3.62 ERA in 124 appearances/117 starts. Keith McDonald, 32, spent last season at Pittsburgh's Triple-A Nashville, and hit .255 with six home runs and 30 RBIs in 92 games. He has a career batting average of .266 in 907 minor league games and is 3-for-9 in eight Major League games. Comments?
