MLB owners unanimously approved the sale of the Oakland A's to Los Angeles businessman Lewis Wolff for $180 million on Wednesday.Wolff will be introduced to the media at a news conference on Friday.

Wolff will be the general manging partner of the club, owning 10% of the team. The rest will be held by John Fischer, son of The Gap founder Donald Fischer.

The Fischers are worth $1.5 billion, giving the A's the 3rd richest ownership in baseball.

The top goal of the Wolff and his group will be to biuld a new stadium for the A's.They have played at what is now called the McAfee Coliseum since moving from Kansas City in 1968.It's likely the new stadium will be in Oakland, since Commisssioner bud Selig stated that San Jose is out of the pitcure, since it resides in the territory of the San Francisco Giants.A prime location for the new stadium would likely be the Coliseum parking lot.

The Coliseum is the 4th oldest stadium in the American League, behind Fenway Park(1912),Yankee Stadium(1923),and Angel Stadium(1966).
