In a battle of aces,San Diego's Woody Williams got the upper hand on Barry Zito as the Padres came away with a 6-1 win at Phoenix.
Williams scattered 4 hits and allowing a run in 6 innings for the win.
Zito on the other hand went 4 innings,allowing 5 runs,4 earned on 5 hits,walking 5 and striking out 3.
The lone A's run came in the 3rd inning when Nick Swisher tripled and scored later in the inning.
