A's starter Kirk Saarloos pitched 5 innings of 2-hit ball as the A's defeated the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 6-2 at Tempe.AZ.
The A's scored first when Mark Kotsay tripled and later scored on a Charles Thomas single in the 1st inning off Angels starter Bartolo Colon.
Kotsay would add an RBI single of his own in the 5th inning,scoring Marco Scutaro to make it 2-0 A's.Aftger adding another run in the 6th,the A's blew the game open in the 8th by scoring 3 times,thanks to a 2-RBI triple by Jermaine Clark,and an RBI single by Mark Ellis.
