In the Arizona finale,Barry Zito was very strong in 7 innings of work as the A's downed the Milwaukee Brewers 6-1 at Phoenix.
Zito allowed a home run to Milwaukee's Brady Clark on the 2nd pitch of the game.That would be all the Brew Crew would get off Zito.He scattered 7 hits while striking out 4 in his outing.
The A's got on the board in the 2nd on an RBI single by Mark Ellis,and an RBI triple by Mark kotsay,scoring Ellis.They would add 2 more in the 5th inning after a 3-base error by Clark in center field,Eric Chavez hit a sac fly,and Erubiel Durazo got an RBI single.
Bobby Kielty made it 6-1 in the 6th when he drove in 2 runs on a single.
