Placed SS Bobby Crosby on the 15-day disabled list with a stress fracture in his ribs.

Purchased the contract of P Kirk Saarloos from AAA Sacramento.

The A's have placed RF Nick Swisher on the 15-day disabled list due to a right acromio-clavicular(AC) joint sprain in his shoulder.

To take his spot on the roster,the A's have called up OF Jermaine Clark form AAA-Sacramento.Clark,28,was hitting .228 with 2 homers and 12 RBIs for Sacramento.

The A's also transferred P Chad Bradford from the 15- to the 60- day disabled list.

The A's placed P Kiko Calero on the 15-day disabled list because of tendonitis in his right elbow.

To take his spot on the roster,the A's called up P Tim Harikkala from AAA-Sacramento and have designated P Adam Morrisey for reassignment.
