Hoping to continue the wholesale remaking of their secondary, the Cleveland Browns have signed safety Brian Russell, who has played his entire career with the Minnesota Vikings, to a restricted free agent offer sheet.
Details of the offer sheet were not available. The Vikings have seven days to either match the offer sheet, and assume the principle terms of the deal, or pass on it and allow Russell to join the Browns, where he is projected as the new starting free safety.
