Thanks for the game thread, Durango.

Unfortunately I will be working tommorow afternoon so I am going to miss it.

I will be doing a game thread with you Tuesday night if you, Blue, or TC is interested.

The season opener starts today as the Twins head to the Pacific Northwest to play the Seattle Mariners.

It's going to be tough for the Twins, but when you are a good team like the Twins, you always will open up against a very good team so the Twins finally arrived. Still I think the Twins are good enough to beat anyone so I hope they rise to the challenge.

Seatle spent lot of money this offseason as they signed Richie Sexson and Adrian Beltre to improve the offense. They also hired a good manager in Mike Hargrove as he tries to get this team out of funk. The Mariners haven't been the same since Lou Pinella left. Mariners are hoping Hargrove can be that aggressive manager that has been missed. I don't know if that's good enough to win the AL West. Their pitching has been rocked in ST.

Brad Radke goes up against Jamie Moyer this afternoon.

I wish I can watch the game, but I am working and I could not record the game since my cable company disconnected our service. I have a feeling we are going to be canceling cable since it's always been a problem.

Looks like the Twins got off to a rough start.

The Rox started good and are now blowing it all so I will hope over to the Twins for a few...

I am going to enjoy watching him play this year...

I think it will be tough for the Twins to come back though in this park. We can see if this team is going to have some comeback power being this is a hard place to hit..

Damm Ray that sucks!!!!

But the Twins lose today. One game no big deal. From what I seen of Radke he was ok. Heck he gave up 4 hits but they was some big ones so that is what hurt them. But This team will need to get some runs up on the board...

What a stinkeraoo performance by the Twins today. This was a very bad and very dissapointing. I was okay with losing, but the way they played today was a disgrace. Everyone stunk today. Lynch is right. I did not miss much watching this game. What a day to forget. First, my cable got disconnected by Time Warner Cable this afternoon. Second, we might get our cable canceled. It ended with this.

Twins got their rearends kicked. They were outplayed and outclassed all game long today. Brad was horrible. I don't know if it was the cold weather that affected him, but he wasn't sharp. He wasn't any close to the strike zone. He was giving up too many gopher balls to my liking. He didn't have it today. I wonder if he is a cold weather pitcher because he sure tends to stink when it's very cold.

Twins hitters was as bad as Brad. They swung at stupid pitches and they swung at the first pitch. Unbelivable. I better not see this garbage this year. I like to think we are good enough in hitting.

This was not a great day for the Twins. They are better than this.

You east coast guys are to high strung... ;)

Brad gave up 5 hits. The thing is that in those 5 hits the M's got guys on base something the Twins didnt do. That is the game of baseball. Get the guys on base for the big swingers. 5 hits most of the time will win you a game. It is just one game to start the season. Brad and the Twins will be fine.

Here is the stat of the game that says it all...

Left on base. Twins 6 left on base.
M's 0 left on base. The M's just got that timely hitting to where the Twins didnt.

Radke also retired 12 out of the next 13 batters after the 2nd sexson hr i believe, or somewhere after that. it is only the first game and i am sure most of the young uns had a few butterflys.

Les: Yeah, but his rough start killed the Twins today. It was to the point where the Twins could not recover. I am glad he finished strong. Still a bad start like that can kill a team.

Durango: I am always high-strung. That's what living in the East Coast can do for you.

It was just a solid game for the M's you run into a game like that sometimes. I would take a 5 hit game any day. It just so happened that the M's got the job done and got all those guys home. The Twins got more baserunners on base but just couldnt cash enough in.

The bats was at fault this game. If any blame to Radke is that he groved one after getting down 2-0 to Sexton when he already sent one out of state. No worries the M's was the home team and they was jacked and played a great game. Jaime had a solid game changing speed also.

That was a good game. The Twins did much better than the box score dictated. If Sexson hadn't been in the lineup, Radke would have shut us down. Tonight, I'm sure you will get your revenge with Santana on the mound.

That is what I got out of that game Duck. I liked the game Radke had looking at what Radke did he had a great game. Add the fact that you guys got 5 base runners and got all of them home is a great stat. That is a great job and that is what the Twins didnt do.

Hats off the the M's. I have a soft spot for them after being at Fairchild for a year. I got some games in at the King Dome and loved it!!! Go M's!!!!!!!!!!

Not just vs the Twins!!!!! ;)

duckboy: I am glad you had a great time at the game. You must have loved Sexson's performance. How did Beltre fare?
