Francis gets first start of 2005

Francis is returning to the scene of his second Major League start. After giving up three home runs in five innings of his debut at Atlanta on Aug. 25, Francis gave up two more homers and eight runs in 4 1/3 innings of a 9-5 loss to the Giants at SBC Park. After that, he corrected what he felt was wrong, then flourished.

"I don't know if I settled in, but I tried to slow down," Francis said. "I was rushing. I tried to stay back on the rubber a little longer."
