The "heavily" contested AL Division is still up for grabs. The White Sox, after making a lot of moves to try and better themselves against the 3 time defending AL Central champion Minnesota Twins, sit alone atop the AL Central. The KC Royals, Cleveland Indians, and the Detroit Tigers all enjoy the company of the Twins at second place.
"We are winning the division, and right now thats all that matters," commented the Chi W.S.
When the fact they were only up by one game was pointed out, the CHi W.S. simply said, "We will take a one game lead on the Twins any day, that in itself is something to be proud of."
The current AL Central Standings:
Team W L PCT. GB
White Sox 3 1 .750 -
Indians 2 2 .500 1.0
Tigers 2 2 .500 1.0
Royals 2 2 .500 1.0
Twins 2 2 .500 1.0
