Troy Glaus wasted no time to make a good impression on his new employers.
Arizona hopes Glaus continues to batter National League pitching as the Diamondbacks host the Colorado Rockies for three games at Bank One Ballpark.
Arizona's new third baseman homered for the fourth straight game to tie a franchise mark, and Shawn Green connected against his former club for the second day in a row to help the Diamondbacks beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-4 on Sunday.
Arizona leads the major leagues with 13 homers.
"I think that's kind of the plan. We're supposed to hit some home runs," Green said. "In the first week of the season, that's what we've done."
Glaus, who signed a four-year, $45 million contract with the Diamondbacks over the winter, is off to a fast start after being hampered with a shoulder injury the past two seasons.
The three-time All-Star played in only 91 games in 2003 because of the shoulder problems, then appeared in 29 last season before having arthroscopic surgery.
Glaus returned in late August, and hit seven of his 18 home runs in the final month of the season to help the Angels to the division title.
Glaus looks to continue his home run barrage against a struggling Rockies club.
Colorado has lost four straight since opening the season with a 12-10 win over the San Diego Padres.
The Rockies had 10 hits and rallied for four runs late, but it wasn't enough to avoid a three-game sweep by the San Francisco Giants with an 11-4 loss on Sunday.
Second baseman Clint Barmes went 2-for-4 to lift his batting average up to .391 (9-for-23). The 26-year-old second baseman leads Colorado with two home runs and six runs scored.
The Rockies will send righty Jason Jennings to the mound on Monday. Jennings is just 1-5 over his last 12 starts dating back to July 31. He's 4-3 with a 5.22 ERA in 11 career starts against Arizona.

That is going way out on a limb talking about how the Rox have been on the road this year.
Rox will be lucky to take on on the road.

There goes your sweep.
Rox make Rox history and go 1-5 something they have never done. Win one game and lose 5 for the first 6 games of the season.
Way to start off with a bang.
At least Jennings looked ok.
