Twins first baseman Justin Morneau will see a neurologist this week because he continues to experience dizziness after being hit in his head by a pitch Wednesday in Seattle.
Morneau made the suggestion to Twins manager Ron Gardenhire before Sunday's 5-2 victory over the White Sox at the Metrodome.
"He was still very lightheaded and was spinning this morning when he got up," Gardenhire said. "He was kind of thinking that he needs to see someone else. I said that I'll talk to our trainers and set it up."
Morneau said Saturday that CT scans and other exams give him a clean bill of health but that he felt concussionlike aftereffects. He said he's had four concussions and in each case got headaches when he started activity afterwards.
"It's kind of foggy, like there's pressure in my head," he said. "When my heart starts beating, it start to thump and gets sharper."
This could be the one that hurts the Twins this year!!!! :( I hope just some time off will help him...
