After several days of experiencing dizziness and headaches from being beaned, the Twins placed first baseman Justin Morneau on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, retroactive to April 7.
"It doesn't put pressure on me to try to rush back this weekend or anything," Morneau said. "It lets me wait until I'm completely ready to go so it doesn't take any longer [to recover] than it should."
Morneau was hit in the head by a pitch thrown by Seattle lefty Ron Villone on April 6. A CT scan taken at a hospital showed no medical problems at the time, but the 23-year-old has since been diagnosed with a concussion. He missed the last three games.
"I still have headaches just sitting here," Morneau said. "It's not as bad as it was. It's gotten a lot better the last two days. It's hard to tell. There's no timetable you can put on it."
hopefully he gets to feeling better
