After the series against Texas, the Jays slipped to second as the red hot Orioles took over first. Boston swept Tampa, which puts them in third. This week is a big test for the Jays and will probably show whether they are contenders or pretenders. They begin with a two game series against the defending champs and then back at home against the currently struggling Yanks for 2 as well.
Probables:
David Bush (0-1, 3.75) vs. Curt Schilling (0-1, 7.94)
Roy Halladay (2-0, 3.27) vs. Bronson Arroyo (1-0, 5.40)
Early 11:05 AM start tomorrow, enjoy!

Both, renuzsm.
I want to see the Blue Jays win. It would be nice to see some new blood winning in the AL East. I am so sick and tired of the Red Sux and Yankees. I actually don't hate the Red Sox as a team, but I just hate their idiotic fans. and I have encountered some of their fans at Yankee Stadium and Continental Airlines Arena. Celtics and Bruins fans are a piece of work.
Plus I have a soft spot for the Jays with Corey Koskie

Jays come from behind and take game two 4-3. This one had me worried, because Halladay was clearly outpitching Arroyo, but the offense couldnt get anything going when the runners were on. Manny hit a homerun in the first, and then Koskie tied it in the 6th. Then Ortiz hit a 2 run shot, followed by a two run shot by Vernon Wells in the 8th. Koskie hit the winning RBI in the 9th, and despite a tense ninth with Batista on the hill, the Jays hung on for the win and move a 1/2 game ahead of Boston.

Well Ren, when the Sox took a 3-1 lead, he took Manny and Millar out of the game. I mean JESUS ya think we might have needed him batting in a clutch situation instead of Payton and McCarty? :bonehead

Oh yeah, I noticed that he took Manny in. In McCarty's defense, he did get on base and could have been the tieing run.
I called Ortiz's homerun. I was talking to a friend about how good Halladay was doing, and in my mind I was saying "watch Ortiz hits one out" and what do you know. He did.

GO JAYS!
Well done.
Nice resillency against the Red Sox last night after coming from behind 3-1. One thing I like about the Jays this year is that they have showed some resillency which they have not showed under Tosca last year hence why he was fired.
Good to see my boy, Corey Koskie get the GW RBI.
I am so proud of the Blue Jays. Hope they do the same against the Pinstripes.
