View Full Version : Gardenhire has no confidence in Jesse Crain

It's so obvious. He is not using him in seventh innings so far. He takes him out when Jesse screws up like when he gives up a base hit or when he gives up a walk. He is so scared of Jesse pitching in tight games. How is Jesse going to learn by taking him out? I really want to see Jesse in this situation because it's painfully obvious that J.C. is not going to get it done when the going gets tough. I have more faith in Jesse than J.C.. Of course if the manager has no faith in Jesse, how will Jesse has faith in himself.

Jesse needs to learn in April not in July or August or September.

They have said that Jesse is weeks behind because he missed so much of ST with the hamstring injury. He is not throwing with his usual velocity or control. He needs to keep throwing in the bullpen to build up his arm strength and find his groove. It serves no point to send him into games to get beat up if he's not ready, that will really kill his confidence. I wish they would have left him in extended ST, let him throw some innings down there and come back to the big team ready to go. This way it's going to take longer to see him have an impact.

Maybe he is better off going to the minors.

He needs to get some work. There is no point wasting him in the roster.
