4/23/05: Dodgers/Rockies

Tonight, this game is coming to you from Coors Field as the series continues. It's Jim Tracy's Dodgers butting heads with Clint Hurdle's Colorado Rockies.

Tonight should be a good pitching duel as Oliver Perez and Shawn Chacon battle on the bump for their respective teams. I am looking forward to see those two pitchers pitch. Those two are very underrated in the major leagues.

I think the Rockies will find a way to win this game.

Rockies score 4 runs in the first. Great start by the offense and it was good to see Odalis Perez rattled.

Shac was fantastic in the second inning.

Great game overall. Odalis Perez got hit hard in the first two innings. Even when he got those outs, it's like it was almost an Home-Run.

You are not kidding about that nice catch. That might have save the inning and the game for sure. The way he slid and caught it was something else. Nice job by the ex-Twin.

Got to love that bullpen!!!!!!! For the past two years it has killed the Rox. And it is going to be year three that it takes all respect out of the Rox.

Well old Tsao made it intresting at the end. Reminded me a ton of Chacon last year. I still feel it is to soon to give up on Tsao as a starter but I feel that a Closer is the most important guy in Coors field also.

I think Tsao will be fine it is going to take some building and I hope that he gets chances. But good to see the Rox pull one out again. But I also think the Dodgers are one of the worst teams in baseball also.

I apologize for missing the rest of the game. I wanted to watch the Kings/Supersonics playoff game at 10 o'clock eastern on ESPN.

Great win for the good guys tonight. I am so proud of them. To be 6-11 and 6 games out is pretty darn good. They have a chance to be 7-11 tommorow and be 5 out. Credit Clint Hurdle and his players for getting down n dirty. They play hard every night and they battle out there. It's good to see hard work pay off and it's great to see good things happen to good people and that's what the Rockies are which are good people.

It was good to see the offense get it going against Odalis Perez, the Dodgers starter. They hit him good and they rattled him in the first two innings. That was the key. I think everyone in the lineup got a hit tonight for the Colorado Rockies. It was good to get lot of runs early.

Shac was fantastic tonight. Yes he was in jams, but he dig deep and he was able to get out of it. Huge assist by the ex-Twin Michael Restrovich who I thought was fantastic with that catch.

I tell ya what. I love what I see in Tsao. Yeah he makes it an adventure, but at least he gets out of it. He finds a way to get out of it. I have more respect for pitchers who find themselves out of jams that they created. The one thing I love about Tsao is that he is not fazed at all and that's what good pitchers need to have.

I told you the Rockies are a very good team. This team is not a bad team. I stand by my statement that the Rox are going to have a good year and so far so good.

Let's go for the sweep tommorow. I got the broom ready.

The thing is in Coors you put people on base they score. That was what Chacon did last year. Tsao will have to learn to stop that but I am with him.

But this bullpen still tryed to give up the game. But they was also facing what I think is a bad Dodgers team that can fight the Rox for the bottom.
