Is Rich Harden, Danny Haren and Zito the new "Big Three"?

Right now,it's just Harden, and the rest of the staff.

Then again, Zito really isn't pitching well. I wonder if A's fans are concerned about this. I heard one analysis that said that Zito being a #1 doesn't suit him and he would rather be better as a #2 or #3 pitcher. I wonder if Harden will take over as the ace. His ERA is ridiculous!

I think Zito will be fine. This will be Harden's breakout year, but the guy I'm most impressed with in then early going is Joe Blanton. He may be 0-2,but he has a 1.75 ERA,but is suffering from a lack of run support.

Blanton's offense in his 1st 3 starts this year has been a horrific 1.4 runs per 9 innings.

Because, Oakland still doesn't have offense. Even if Harden does have a break out year. An offense that won't score you runs won't lead you to wins. Look what's happening to Clemens and poor Hudson. I think he leds the major in the past couple of year in lack of run support.

I'm actually impressed with Haren myself. Harden is going to bust out this season. Everyone who's been following him knows this. Haren might need a year or two. That not to say he won't have a solid season. I still think the A's could really use some power in that offense beside Eric Chavez, who's be ice cold. Once he gets a bit better, I'm sure we'll see Haren, Harden and even Zito, if he can straighten himself out get some wins under their belts.
