Michael is not doing well right now. He is striking out a lot and he is grounding himself into a double plays way too often. He has been one of the biggest reasons why the Twins have struggled with the bases loaded. He is just not hitting. Still, I am banking on him to have a great year. As mntwinsfan said last year in the other baseball board that we used to post in, he talked about how if you give him lot of at-bats and etc, he will start hitting. I am glad he is in the lineup everyday. He is going to have to work his way through it and the only way he can do it is by being in the lineup daily.

Talk to me in about a month in a half about his hitting.
As you said you got to give him time.

I am going to write a thread on our offense later today. I have some thoughts and let's just say I am not happy.

The announcers were talking the other night that part of Cuddyer's problem could be having to feel the shoes of the great Corey Koskie; a great player AND a huge fan favorite and idol in Minnesota.
It makes since to me that Cuddyer could be feeling this pressure as everytime I have seen him at bat with bases loaded and 1 out, he grounds into a double play. I think he is thinking too hard about producing like Koskie and simply needs to trust his abilities and start forging his own Minnesota legacy.
The two huge hits he had last night against the Angels should help his confidence.
The announcers also mentioned that Guzman, while liked, just wasn't as favored by the fans...They blamed it on the fact that Koskie lived in Minny the year round...Interesting topic.

I hope Cuddyer's two hits Friday nights gets him going.
He did okay tonight.
