Jose Conteras seems to be showing no ill effects from his strained hamstring tonight.Through 4+ innings,he is shutting out Detroit on 2 hits.

Contreras has walked 3 and struck out 6 so far on a very cool night in Chicago.

Top 5th,scoreless tie.

Halfway home now.Tigers leave a man on 3rd in a 0-0 game.

His only mistake was a long homer by Rondell White in the 5th.He gave up a run on 3 hits, walking 3 and striking out 6 in the game tonight. He threw 113 pitches in 6 innings of work.63 of those were strikes.

giving up only one run in 6 innings is more than good enough.

if he can be more efficient with his pitches, thatd probably be better. but i doubt i have to tell you that. lol

It's not the pitching I'm worried about. It's our anemic offense.

dont you have like 3 or 4 regulars out right now due to nagging minor injuries?

Ozuna still has the bad wrist,Uribe has the bad groin, and AJ still has the bad toe.

His numbers looked good, but he was going to full counts on every batter it seemed. If he could of got some batters out faster he could of gone to the 7th or 8th, saving our bullpen some, and possibly getting himself a W.
