Here are my picks for the Player and Pitcher of the Month for the Oakland A's for April, 2005 as selected by a comittee of 1. :D

PLAYER;
Mark Kotsay- He has been the most consistent hitter this month for the A's.His .323 average,13 RBIs,6 doubles and 8 XBHs lead the team.He has been a valuable lead-off hitter so far. It's very doubtful that the a's would be hovering around the .500 mark if it weren't for Kotsay- and my Co-Player of the Month.

Marco Scutaro- Scutaro has been a Godsend for Oakland ever since Bobby Crosby went down with that rib injury.All Scutaro has done for the A's was hit .375 the last 12 games.His very key walk in the 10th inning on 4/30 against Seattle set up Nick Swishers' game winning heroics.

A's coaches preached plate discipline to Scutaro this year.As he walked only 16 times all of last year.so far,Scutaro has walked 12 times.He will present a huge dilemma once Crosby returns from his injury.

PITCHER;
Rich Harden; 2-0.2.10 ERA With all due respect to the rookie Joe Blanton,Rich Harden has become the dominant man in the Oakland rotation.He had an ERA of 0.44 this week before giving up 4 runs against the White Sox on Tuesday.He has really stepped up his game and now realizes that his time is now.

Congratulations to those 3 players on this honor. :thumbsup:
