Here is my selection for White Sox player and Pitcher of the month as selected by a committee of 1. :D
PLAYERS;
Joe Crede; His 14-game hitting streak was undoubtably his highlight.But he's been nearly flawless with the glove too.His 12 runs scored leads the team along with AJ Pierzynski.He has been swingin the hot bat from the 9 hole,and has been a solid hitter with RISP with a homer and 9 RBIS.
Tadahito Iguchi; This is what White Sox GM expected from him.Iguchi has been swinging a really hit bat lately,getting some key hits,and has played a stellar 2B.His .333 average and 26 hits led the team in April.
PITCHER;
Jon Garland, 4-0,1.80 ERA; The 25-year-old has been a revelation this season.He has total control of his sinker and has been unhittable.His duel with Barry Zito last week may have finally given him all the confidence he needs to go out there and battle every start.
With the success of the starting rotation,noone has shone brighter than Garland in April.Let's hope this is only the beginning for him. :cool:
