White Sox hurler Jon Garland was named American League Pitcher of the Month (chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20050502&content_id=1035885&vkey=news_cws&fext=.jsp&c_id=cws) for April,after going 4-0 with a 1.80 ERA and helping the White Sox to the best record in baseabll.
He is the 1st White Sox pitcher since Mark Buehrle last May to receive Pitcher of the Month honors.
