The Colorado Rockies placed Kane Davis, their most active relief pitcher, on the disabled list Sunday because of an injury he says no longer exists.
The club purchased the contract of right-handed veteran Dan Miceli from Class AAA Colorado Springs before Sunday's game and placed Davis on the 15-day disabled list because of an inflamed right elbow.
Davis is frustrated and didn't agree with the decision. Davis admitted he had been dealing with elbow pain for most of the season before receiving a cortisone shot before the Rockies' most recent trip. He said the elbow has felt fine since.
