Carl Everett's 2-run double in the 8th inning tonight have given the White Sox a 5-4 lead over the Kansas City Royals.
This is the 26th consecutive game to start the season that the Sox have had a lead in a ball game. That eclipses the previous record of 25 straight games to start the season set by the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers.
Congratulations to the Chicago White Sox on this record. :gt:

Jermaine Dye's RBI single and AJ Pierzynski's 2-run homer gives the Sox a 4-1 lead after 4.

This streak is unbelievable. Even if the White Sox break this streak, they are poised to start another one right back up again. This team is just playing great baseball!

It's at 32 games now,as the Sox took an early lead at Tampa.HBut things look pretty dicey right now,as they are trailing 4-2 after 7.

Yes, I see that. I've been watching three games, thankfully the Mets game went into a rain delay so I could concentrate. You're soooooo right about Darrin Jackson. Robin is okay but he sure was nervous at first. He's relaxed after awhile.
This record really is impressive though.

Streak's at 33 games now. Sox are up 6-4 in the 7th at Tampa.
The all-time record for most consecutive games with a lead at any point of the season belongs to the 1998 New York Yankees who had the lead for 48 straight games.
They could break that record on May 27th when they travel to Arlington to take on the Texas Rangers.

Tadahito Iguchi's 2-run bloop double in the 2nd inning has given the Sox a 4-2 lead against Baltimore to extend their streak to 37 straight games in which they have had the lead to open the season.
