White Sox TV play-by-play man Ken "Hawk" Harrelson will be out of commission for about a week becuase of eye surgery.He had surgery done this morning for a detatched retina in his right eye.

He had a similar procedure in his left eye in 2003,and had 2 cataracts removed last yar.

He will not make the upcoming road trip to Toronto and Tampa Bay,but plans to be back in time for the next homestand beginning May 12th vs. Baltimore.

In the meantime,color analyst Darrin Jackson will handle play-by-play duties with guest analyst every night.Tonight,former Sox pitcher Don Pall will be in the booth with DJ.

Don Pall will be in the booth with DJ for tomorrow afternoon's contest against the Royals,and this weekend at Toronto.

Robin Ventura will be along side DJ when the team travels to Tampa Bay next week.

Hopefully Harrelson will be okay.

Robin Ventura is doing some broadcasting? That's fabulous! I'll have to be sure to listen/watch those games. :banana:

Hawk's going to be fine.He just can't fly because of a gas bubble put in his eye to protect the retina.

Ventura's going to be a lot of fun in the booth. :banana:
