Shawn Chacon established a Rockies record for strikeouts in a home game when he struck out 13 batters June 7, against Houston.
Chacon entered the record books again Sunday, this time for negative reasons. He gave up five home runs, tying the club record set by Mark Thompson on April 18, 1998, against Atlanta. He also allowed 11 earned runs, which is the third time in Rockies history a pitcher had allowed 11 runs and the second time a pitcher has allowed 11 earned runs.
