Kudos to Ben Sheets

Ben Sheets is a No. 1 draft pick. He's a former Brewers Minor League Player of the Year. He's an Olympic hero. He's a 10-game winner in the Major Leagues and he was named the NL's top rookie for June. Now, Ben Sheets is an All-Star.

He became the first Brewers rookie ever to make the All-Star team, and the first rookie starter to make it since then-LA right-hander Hideo Nomo got the call in 1995. If Sheets gets into the game, he will become the first Brewers starter to pitch in an All-Star game since Teddy Higuera in 1986.

Sheets did very in his return from the DL.Pitching a very good few inning but to bad the brewers had to lose it.

Sheets was awesome the first half. When I first posted this, he would have been a lock for ROY and possibly MVP and CYA. It's a shame the second half played out as it did...he may have been rushed, just a tad.
