May 16 The back spasms that kept Justin Duchscherer (P) Oak sidelined the last three games have improved, according to the Contra Costa Times.
May 16 The Contra Costa Times reports that for the first time since being sidelined by a shoulder injury, Nick Swisher (OF) Oak took batting practice on Sunday. He is expected to begin a rehab assignment this week.
May 16 Bobby Crosby (SS) Oak was able to take batting practice yesterday for the first time since being placed on the disabled list with fractured ribs, according to the Contra Costa Times. He reported no pain while swinging and should begin a rehab assignment later this week.
May 16 After leaving yesterday's game with an aggravated rib-cage injury, Bobby Kielty (OF) Oak had X-rays taken, according to the Contra Costa Times. The results were negative, but he will have a CT scan taken today. "Each day it's gotten worse," Kielty said. "Swinging is not too bad. When I ran around the bases, it was unbearable."
