MICHAEL PARE
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/michael_pare.html

BIRTH DATE: October 9, 1959 Brooklyn, New York

CLAIM TO FAME: Michael Pare is probably best known for his role as Eddie in the movie "Eddie & The Cruisers."

FAMILY LIFE: Married Three times:
Marjolein (1992 - present) 1 child
Marisa Roebuck (1986 - 1988) (divorced)
Lisa Katselas Paré (1980 - 1982) (divorced)

Has three brothers and six sisters. His father, who died of leukemia when Michael was about 5 years old, was French-Canadian and his mother is Irish.

INFO: Michael got his start on the small screen as a regular on the first season of the popular TV series "The Greatest American Hero" (1981). He was one of the students.

He made his big-screen debut two years later as a rock singer in Eddie and the Cruisers and then reprising the role for a less- successful 1989 sequel.

I have to admit I thought this guy was going to be a superstar. He had the looks and could play a tough guy role or a role that showed vulnerability. But it never came to be. Despite some big-budgeted efforts, like, "The Philadelphia Experiment" and Walter Hill's "Streets of Fire" he failed to join the ranks of big-screen action heroes.

TRIVIA:
Michael studied at the Culinary School of America and was working as a chef when his he got discovered, first for some modeling work then later acting.

Trained with acting guru Uta Hagen in the early 80s.

Was on the wrestling team in high school.

Has made a lucrative living appearing on the side in Japanese commercials and in print ads.

WHERE IS HE NOW: Still extremely active in acting he's got a few projects coming out this year. He has created quite a niche for himself as the star of modestly budgeted straight-to-video action films.

BIRTH DATE: June 19, 1967, Brooklyn Heights, New York,

BIRTH NAME: Mia Sarapocciello

One of Mia's legs is slightly shorter than the other.

She had a brief recurring role on the daytime soaper "All My Children".

WHERE IS SHE NOW: Her last role was in the Showtime Original movie, "Hoodlum & Son", costarring Ron Perlman. That was in 2003.

Before that she replaced Sherilyn Fenn as Dr. Harleen Quinzel in the WB show, "Birds of Prey" (2002).

ANNETTE FUNICELLO
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/annette_funicello.html

BIRTH DATE: October 22, 1942, Utica, New York

CLAIM TO FAME: Annette got her start as a Mouskateer in the Mickey Mouse Club. She quickly grew to be one of the most popular. I'd have to say to this day she might be the most popular Mouskateer ever.

It's interesting to not that she was the last one chosen to be a Mouskateer. She was the 24th chosen of the 24 kids.

She then moved on to be a teen idol, starring with Frankie Avalon in the Beach movies. In fact her and Frankie starred in 8 movies together. I sure loved those and still will watch them whenever they are on.

FAMILY LIFE: Glen Holt - May 1986 - present Jack Gilardi - January 1965 - 1981) (divorced) 3 children

INFO: Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1987. In 1999, she underwent brain surgery to slow down the tremors which result from her MS.

She started the Annette Funicello Fund for Neurological Disorders. http://www.calfund.org/8/giving_funicello.php

TRIVIA:
Her son, Jason Gilardi, is the drummer for the rock band, "Caroline's Spine", who were once signed to the Disney owned label, Hollywood Records.

When she made the various beach pictures for American International Pictures (AIP), she was still technically under contract to Disney, doing the AIP films on a loan-out basis, something of which Walt Disney always emphatically reminded her.

To that end, Walt Disney asked her to not wear a bikini and instead wear a one-piece swimsuit because she had an image to uphold. She agreed.

Her favorite TV series was Zorro. For her birthday one year, Walt Disney (who knew she was a fan of the show) arranged to have her guest star on one episode.

She always called Walt Disney "Mr. Disney".

She told in a 1975 interview about the price of fame. She had to really stay close to home because wherever she went with her parents, if it were the store or church, people would begin to sing the Mickey Mouse Club song of "M-i-C-K-E-Y" and it bothered her at the time. Then years after when she would go to get her daughter at school all her daughter's little friends would sing the song "M-I-C-K-E-Y" and it made her feel good.

WHERE IS SHE NOW:
Annette's condition has deteriorated due to MS and her life is now filled with constant struggle. Even breathing can be difficult.

She doesn't get out much anymore. Her last public appearance that I can find was back in 1999.

She has a collectable bear business.

Frankie Avalon says that everywhere he goes people ask him about Annette.

LEE MAJORS
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/lee_majors.html

BIRTH DATE: April 23, 1939, Wyandotte, Michigan

BIRTH NAME: Harvey Lee Yeary

CLAIM TO FAME: Lee has actually been in three successful TV shows from the 60's thru the 80's, so he has been known for a long time. But I have to believe the role that catapulted him was that of Steve Austin in 'The Six Million Dollar Man.'

FAMILY LIFE: Faith Noelle ( November 2002 - present)
Karen Velez (September 1988 - October 1994) (divorced) daughter, Nikki and twin sons, Dane and Trey
Farrah Fawcett (July 1973 - February 1982) (divorced)
Kathy Robinson (1961 - 1964) (divorced) son, Lee Majors II

INFO: As mentioned above Lee has enjoyed a success that is rare in Hollywood. Three different series that have been hits in three different decades.

'The Six Million Dollar Man' continues to be a popular show in syndication around the world and there is talk of Jim Carrey playing Steve Austin in a big screen version of the hit 70's show.

TRIVIA: That was Lee singing the theme song to his 'Fall Guy' series.

Turned down an offer to play with the St Louis Cardinals to pursue acting career.

Turned down the Mac Davis role in 'North Dallas Forty' in favor of an independent production that never got off the ground.

Landed the role of Joe Buck in 'Midnight Cowboy' but "The Big Valley" (1965) was picked up for another year and was contractually obligated to pass on the role, which was then made famous by Jon Voight.

Starred concurrently in two TV shows at the same time. Playing Jess Brandon in "Owen Marshall: Counselor at Law" (1971) and Colonel Steve Austin in The Six Million Dollar Man.

His cousin Johnny Majors was the 1956 Heisman Trophy runner-up at Tennessee, and became a great college football coach; from 1968-96 he coached at Iowa State, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee, winning the 1976 national championship with Pittsburgh.

Signature exclamation as Heath in The Big Valley was 'Boy Howdy.'

In 1976 Lee Majors and Farrah Fawcett made TV history. They were the first husband and wife each starring in separate top rated shows.

Prior to getting his big break, Lee Majors was the limo driver for producer Jim Barnett, the man who created the TV show "World Championship Wrestling."

WHERE IS HE NOW: Lee did move to Florida to raise his kids. He wanted to get them away from the Hollywood lifestyle. But he did remain active in acting in many straight to video titles.

An extremely busy actor he has even lent his voice to some Video Games like, Grand Theft Auto (Vice City)

He is back in Los Angeles and has a TV movie that is currently in post production ('Strike the Tent')

BARBARA EDEN
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/barbara_eden.html

BIRTH DATE: August 23, 1934, Tucson, Arizona

BIRTH NAME: Barbara Jean Moorhead

CLAIM TO FAME: Who doesn't know Barbara as Jeanie from 'I Dream of Jeanie'? This was the role that got her known to all of us.

FAMILY LIFE:
Jon Eicholtz - January 1991 - present Charles Donald Fegert - September 1977 - 1983 (divorced) Michael Ansara - January 1958 - May 1974 (divorced)

INFO:
In the mid-1950s, Twentieth Century Fox signed Eden to a studio contract, and she appeared in a string of movies opposite such heartthrobs as Elvis Presley and Paul Newman.

In 1957, Eden was cast in the TV adaptation of "How to Marry a Millionaire"; she played the part Marilyn Monroe had in the movie version. The actress' biggest break came in 1964, when her agent sent her the script for "I Dream of Jeannie" and she was offered the lead role of the wacky, wonderful genie. That same year, she and her then-husband, actor Michael Ansara, were expecting a child, and in August 1965, Matthew was born.

In 1970 her show was cancelled, and she endured yet another disappointment when she learned that her second baby had died in her womb at seven-and-a-half months.

Barbara's marriage dissolved under the strain of that trauma. Soon afterward she married her second husband, a newspaper executive from Chicago, but they eventually divorced.

Things began looking up for Barbara again in the '80s, when she worked steadily on a variety of television projects and met her current husband, real estate developer Jon Eicholtz.

Barbara's relentless work ethic is what has sustained her during her rough times, including the roughest of them all: the death of her son in 2001 from a heroin overdose.

TRIVIA:
She was not allowed to show her belly button on "I Dream of Jeannie" (1965) because of NBC's "No Navel Edict".

Crowned: "Miss San Francisco" in 1951

Although she was born Barbara Jean Moorhead, she took her stepfather's last name of Huffman when her mother Alice remarried.

Also played Jeannie's sister in "I Dream of Jeannie" (1965).

Shortly after shooting began on the pilot episode for "I Dream of Jeannie" (1965), it was learned that she was pregnant. Director Gene Nelson invented a shot he playfully called the "ATB". ("Above the Baby") "Sometimes", he stated, "We'd have to follow Jeannie's arm across the room".

Barbara's last name was changed from "Huffman" to "Eden" by her first agent.

In 1997, Columbia announced plans to produce a big-screen version of "I Dream of Jeannie," but the movie has yet to be made. There has been talk that Paris Hilton will take the role. Just this year, Paris played Barbara in an episode of 'American Dreams.'

WHERE IS SHE NOW:
Touring the country in a female edition of the Neil Simon play 'The Odd Couple'

She also turned up in a spoof production of "Desperate Housewives." In the sketch Barbara plays the role of Nicollette Sheridan's Edie.

And in the past few years she has been on several episodes
of 'Sabrina The Teenage Witch.'

http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/lance_guest.html

BIRTH DATE: July 21, 1960, Saratoga, California

CLAIM TO FAME: Lance got his start at a young age. He was actually on the Lou Grant show. But in my opinion the role Lance is most identified with is that of Alex in 'The Last Starfigher.'

FAMILY LIFE: Could not find any info on whether Lance was or is married. Anyone know?

INFO: Lance hit the silver screen in a big way in the 80's. Many believed he was going to be a superstar. He mixed humor with his good looks. Unfortunately some of his featured movies weren't big successes at the box office and Hollywood started looking the other way and not offering him the bigger roles.

TRIVIA:
There are rumors that 'The Last Starfighter' will be made into a musical for off-Broadway.

WHERE IS HE NOW:
After being in a bunch of movies in the 80's things slowed down for Lance.

He did appear last year in an episode of 'NYPD Blue', but all info found say that he has decided to take a break from acting. In fact he is/was a member of "The Road Theatre Company", but his status is that of retired.

JON 'Bowzer' BAUMAN
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/bowzer.html

BIRTH DATE: September 14, 1947, Brooklyn, New York

CLAIM TO FAME: As the greaser singer, Bowzer in the band Sha Na Na.

FAMILY LIFE: Married to wife Mary for more than 30 years. Two children, Nora and Eli.

INFO: He started "Sha Na Na" in 1969 with a bunch of friends from Columbia University. He stayed with the group until the mid-80's, when he tried a shot at hosting the game show "Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour".

He became a "VJ" for VH1 for 2 years .

As the co-leader of Sha Na Na for l4 years, Bowzer led his group to such success that its TV series, at its peak, was the No. 1 syndicated show in America. Sha Na Na also was seen in 32 countries.

Jon is nothing like the Bowzer character he created. In fact he was something of a child prodigy at the piano, and started classical music training at the age of 7 and attended the prestigious Juilliard School five years later. He ended up at Columbia University in New York, where Jon graduated magna cum laude.

TRIVIA: When Bowzer first started Sha Na Na, he used to wear a complete baseball uniform on stage, and it took four or five months to get him into full greaser garb.

His character Bowzer has been likened to "Hee Haw" covered with Brylcreem.

Performed at Woodstock as a member of Sha Na Na

He left the group in 1983

He will forever be remembered as Jewish thanks to Adam Sandler's 'Hanukkah Song'

His catchphrase was 'Grease for Peace'

Jon on the character he created, "The Bowzer character was that kind of greasy, but intensely vulnerable character that really did exist in the ‘60s and in the ‘50s."

WHERE IS HE NOW: He is still very active touring all over the world under the name of 'Bowzer's Rock N' Roll Party Bowzer's Ultimate Doo-Wop Party.'

In fact don't be surprised if you book a cruise and he's on it... he has been booked for several cruises. He had a successful run in Atlantic City where he broke some records for the venue he appeared at.

He briefly co-hosted a morning show in L.A.

LINDA Carroll HAMILTON
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/linda_hamilton.html

BIRTH DATE: September 26, 1956, Salisbury, Maryland

CLAIM TO FAME:
Linda's biggest break was in 1984, when she got picked to play the part of Sarah Connor in James Cameron's blockbuster 'Terminator.'

FAMILY LIFE:
James Cameron (997 - 1999) (divorced) 1 daughter
Bruce Abbott (1982 - 1989) (divorced) 1 son
Peter Horton (1979 - 1980) (divorced)

Daughter, with James Cameron, Josephine Archer Cameron born February 1993.

Son, with Bruce Abbot, Dalton Abbott born October 1989.

Unfortunately Linda suffered two miscarriages while with James Cameron before they had a daughter in 1993.

INFO: Linda started acting at a very young age. She never thought she would make a career out of it and instead wanted to be an archaeologist. However, once she started working in children's theater she realized she loved acting.

TRIVIA: Linda is an LA Dodgers fan.

Linda went to Wicomico Junior High, Salisbury, Maryland, with her identical twin sister, Leslie Hamilton Gearren, who incidentally was Linda's double in 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day.' Leslie is seen when Sarah is remembering playing with John at the park and when the T-1000 is impersonating her.

If you've been to Universal Studios then you've probably seen Linda because she reprised her 'Terminator' character, Sarah Connor, for the theme park attraction T2-3D, a short film filmed in a new 3-D process that makes the film really appear to jump out at you.

While attending Washington College, the acting professor told her she had no hope of earning a living as an actress.

After her role in Terminator 2, she learned that she made such an impression as the pumped and ferociously tough Sarah Conner that she was typecast into being offered only roles for similarly tough characters.

Turned down a chance to reprise the role of Sarah Connor in 'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.'

She divorced 3rd husband James Cameron after discovering he was having an affair with actress Suzy Amis during the making of the movie 'Titanic.' Her divorce from him was the second most expensive divorce next to Steven Spielberg's divorce from Amy Irving. She stood to take half of his earnings - close to $50 million dollars.

In September 2004, she revealed she has long suffered from bipolar disorder and was a compulsive eater as a child.

Auditioned for the role of Capt. Kathryn Janeway on 'Star Trek: Voyager.'

WHERE IS SHE NOW:
Currently she lives with her two children in Malibu. Most recently she starred in a few movies still to come out this year (see credits). In fact the film 'Missing in America' reunites her with her 'Beauty & The Beast co-star Ron Perlman. Linda and Ron have remained friends throughout the years.

In November of 2004 she appeared on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' to discuss her bipolar disorder.

Goonies (http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/goonies.html) The Cast of "Goonies"

This is one of my favorite movies and about six months ago I dusted off my copy and introduced it to my nephews. They loved it. Here are the people we will be looking at today.

Sean Astin .... Michael 'Mikey' Walsh
Josh Brolin .... Brandon 'Brand' Walsh
Jeff Cohen .... Lawrence 'Chunk' Cohen
Corey Feldman .... Clark 'Mouth' Devereaux
Kerri Green .... Andrea 'Andy' Carmichael
Martha Plimpton .... Stefanie 'Stef' Steinbrenner
Jonathan Ke Quan .... Richard 'Data' Wang
John Matuszak .... Lotney 'Sloth' Fratelli
Robert Davi .... Jake Fratelli
Joe Pantoliano .... Francis Fratelli
Anne Ramsey .... Mama Fratelli

Sean Astin .... Michael 'Mikey' Walsh
BORN: February, 25 1971, Santa Monica, California

We all know where Sean is now. Playing a Hobbit in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. But here is just a little info/trivia on him.

Sean is married to Christine Astin and they have a daughter Alexandra Louise (born in 1996)

He is the on of actor John Astin and actress Patty Duke but his biological father is actually Michael Tell, whom Patty Duke was married to for only a month in 1970. Sean was adopted at age 3 by John Astin, but considers both men to be his father.

-----

Josh Brolin .... Brandon 'Brand' Walsh
BORN: February 12, 1968, Los Angeles, California

Josh is still acting and seems to pop up in various movies and TV shows. Most recently he had a TV series called "Mister Sterling" in 2003. This was cancelled after just a few episodes.

Two new projects this year are movies "Into the Blue" and "Melinda and Melinda".

He is the son of actor James Brolin and is engaged to actress Diane Lane.

He has two children, daughter Eden and son Trevor.

-----

Jeff Cohen .... Lawrence 'Chunk' Cohen
BORN: June 25, 1974, California

Jeff was one of my favorites in Goonies. After the movie he did a few things on TV, but for the most part got away from being in front of the camera.

Now he is an Entertainment Lawyer in Los Angeles. But he never seems to escape his Goonies past. He is always asked to do the "Truffle Shuffle". In fact, while he was a student at UC Berkley he would do the "Truffle Shuffle" during football games on the sidelines.

-----

Corey Feldman .... Clark 'Mouth' Devereaux
BORN: July 16, 1971, Chatsworth, California,

We all have heard about his struggles with drugs. By all appearances he now seems to be clean.

He is married to Susie Sprague and they are expecting their first child in September of this year.

He's still active in the entertainment business with two movies coming out this year. "The Birthday" and "No Witness"

TRIVIA: He is the son of songwriter/record producer Bob Feldman, who wrote and produced "My Boyfriend's Back", produced "Hang On Sloopy" and was a member of The Strangeloves who had
a pop hit with "I Want Candy."

-----

Kerri Green .... Andrea 'Andy' Carmichael
BORN: January 14, 1967, Fort Lee, New Jersey

Kerri has kept up acting, but really never made a big splash in the business as most people had predicted. Most of her recent roles have been bit parts on TV in popular series like "ER", "Law and Order".

In 1996 along with Bonnie Dickenson she founded a production company called Independent Women Artists (IWA). In 1999 she wrote and directed the film "Bellyfruit" under IWA.

TRIVIA: Kerri got the role in Goonies when she skipped summer camp to attend some movie auditions. You guessed it... she landed the role in Goonies.

Of all the main cast members of Goonies, she is the only one that does not appear in the video for Cyndi Lauper's 'The Goonies R Good Enough'.

-----

Martha Plimpton .... Stefanie 'Stef' Steinbrenner
BORN: November 16, 1970, New York, New York

Still very active in Hollywood, she has appeared in many films and TV shows. She lends her voice to an upcoming film called "Hair High", which is due out later this year.

TRIVIA: She is the daughter of actors Keith Carradine and Shelley Plimpton; granddaughter of actor John Carradine.

One thing that cracks me up and I can just visualize it is... On the commentary track for the DVD of Goonies, The (1985), she says that she was once playing the title role in Ibsen's Hedda Gabler on stage when an audience member yelled "Gooooonies!" from his seat.

-----

Jonathan Ke Quan .... Richard 'Data' Wang (as Ke Huy Quan)
BORN: August 20 1971, Saigon, Vietnam

Birth name : Ke Huy-Quan

Who can forget Data in Goonies. I just loved all his contraptions he invented.

He has done some acting throughout the years with his role in Goonies and "Indiana Temple of Doom" by far being the highlights of his career.

He did attend college and graduated from the University of Southern California School of Cinema Television.

Nowadays he is a martial artist and working as a stunt coordinator. He worked with Jet Li on "The One".

TRIVIA: Speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

-----

John Matuszak .... Lotney 'Sloth' Fratelli
BORN: October 25, 1950, Oak Creek, Wisconsin
DIED: June 17, 1989

John was a hard-driving athlete who lived life in the fast lane. He died of an accidental drug overdose. He was in various movies, but I have to believe that Goonies was his most famous. Even though you couldn't tell it was him, it certainly was a memorable character and the scenes between him and Chunk were the best.

TRIVIA: Nickname: Tooz. He was a defensive end for the Los Angeles Raiders

Competed in the 1978 World's Strongest Man Competition .

-----

Robert Davi .... Jake Fratelli
BORN: June 26, 1954

Robert is still acting and is often cast as the bad guy in movies and TV.

TRIVIA: Originally trained as an opera-singer, until he damaged his voice.

Robert's big break came when he was cast opposite Frank Sinatra in the film Contract on Cherry Street (1977) (TV) and has since gone on to work in projects with Marlon Brando, Roberto Begnini,
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Clint Eastwood, Benicio Del Toro, Danny Glover, and Adam Sandler to name a few.

Besides working and raising his five children, Robert Davi, stays busy volunteering his time with many charities such as, 'The Dream Foundation', 'Exceptional Children’s Foundation', 'Heart Of A Child
Foundation', 'The National Italian American Foundation', 'Unico', and is the national spokesperson for 'I Save America'.

-----

Joe Pantoliano .... Francis Fratelli
BORN: September 12, 1951, Hoboken, New Jersey

For me Joe will always be Guido the killer pimp from "Risky Business". As you are probably aware he is still acting and was Ralphie in "The Sopranos" and was in the Matrix movie.

TRIVIA: Almost always seen wearing a cap, even in some of his movie roles.

He is writing a novel about his hometown, Hoboken, New Jersey, entitled, "Who's Sorry Now?"

-----

Anne Ramsey .... Mama Fratelli
BORN: September 1, 1929, Omaha, Nebraska
DEATH: August 11, 1988 (throat cancer)

Probably Anne's most notable role was that of Momma from "Throw Momma From The Train".

She was a very busy actress in the 80's right up until her death from throat cancer.

TRIVIA: Following the death of their own mother ("Mom always liked you best!"), the Smothers Brothers chose Anne Ramsey to receive the flowers and honors on their Mothers' Day show.

Died just three and a half months after receiving her Oscar nomination for "Throw Momma from the Train".

Was married to Logan Ramsey, also an actor.

- GEE, JUST WHAT I ALWAYS WANTED! Superficial and totally forgettable updates on the depressingly defunct or declining careers and utterly boring lives of the really mediocre, marginal, moronic Tinsel Town twits whose best years were nothing to shout about and whose current situations range all the way from pedestrain to pathetic.

- WHO IS NEXT? Tiny Tim, Bobby Curtola, Jim Nabors, Batman and Robin, Eddie Albert's son?

- MORE TO THE POINT, who gives a shit?

- If all you can do is cut and paste your e-mail spam here, could you at least pick better crap than this to cut and paste?

- This is a prime example of why I can't be bothered to post here much any more. I don't expect you to be as original, incisive and witty as some of us but you would do well to remember that "less is more" when it comes to stuff like this.

ALFONSO RIBEIRO
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/alfonso.html

BIRTH DATE: September 21, 1971, New York, NY

CLAIM TO FAME: Probably the role that all of us know Alfonso for is that of Carlton, the uptight, preppy cousin of Will Smith, in the 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air.'

FAMILY LIFE: Robin married in January 2002, 1 child, daughter named Sienna

INFO: Born in New York of parents who immigrated from the Dominican Republic, Alfonso began his career when he debuted on the PBS show "Oye Ollie."

After getting the starring role in the Broadway musical "The Tap Dance Kid" he was spotted by Michael Jackson who cast him as a dancer in a Pepsi commercials.

At the age of 10 Ribeiro dabbled as a musician, releasing singles such as "Dance Baby," "Not Too Young (To Fall In Love)", "Sneak Away With Me" and "Time Bomb". It was about this time that he was cast as Rick Schroder's best friend on the long-running series "Silver Spoons" (1982).

He attended California State University at Los Angeles after the end of the series, and was later cast as Carlton Banks on the popular series "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" (1990).

TRIVIA:
There was a rumor that he died in the 80s while doing a head spin, but he was confused with a breakdancing boy in a Pepsi commercial who did die.

An avid racecar driver, he won The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach celebrity race in 1994 and 1995.

Admits he's hooked on 'American Idol.'

WHERE IS HE NOW: Alfonso feels he has been typecast as Carlton. He said in an interview, "People are still seeing me in that light... It's a character people. I'm not playing myself, that's why they call it 'acting!'"

"The role has made it harder for me to do new work as an actor. For example, Carlton's character can't dance, but I can. I've been dancing since I was a kid. I don't think I'm anything like Carlton Banks."

In 2002 he returned to his New York roots to perform in the New York musical, 'Golden Boy.'

Then in 2003, he starred in a McDonald's commercial for McGriddle breakfast sandwiches.

Eventhough he is still acting, most recently in 'Lovewrecked', a made for TV movie, directing is clearly what Alfonso wants to do.

"People don't realize, I directed on 'In the House' and 'Fresh Prince.' I truly enjoy directing. I attended New York's film school... I enjoy looking at the words on the paper and visual- izing how to make them come to life. As a director you have the entire image in mind and bring it to life. The creative process is really amazing."

MARK HAMILL
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/mark_hamill.html

BIRTH DATE: September 25, 1951, Oakland, California

CLAIM TO FAME: Do I really even need to say it? Just in case you have lived under a rock for the last 25+ years, it's the role of Luke Skywalker in 'Star Wars' that propelled Mark to stardom.

FAMILY LIFE: Wife, Mary Lou - Married December 1978 - present) 3 children, Nathan Hamill (June 1979), Griffin (March 1983), Chelsea (July 1988).

I commend Mark and Mary Lou for keeping their marriage together. In Hollywood we know this just doesn't happen.

INFO: He played a continuing role (Kent Murray) in TV's "General Hospital" (1963) and co-starred in the respected TV comedy series "The Texas Wheelers" (1974).

He was originally cast as David on "Eight Is Enough" (1977), and asked to be released from his contract before 'Star Wars' came out because he sensed the movie would be successful and Mark wanted to focus on his movie career. ABC refused to release him from his contract, thinking that having a successful movie star connected with the show would help 'Eight is Enough.' But Mark was involved in a car crash (December 1976) and injured his face. This made him unavailable for shooting the TV series, and ABC was forced to recast the role of David, which then went to Grant Goodeve.

TRIVIA: Made his acting debut on "The Bill Cosby Show" in 1970.

Had a voice role in the cult classic film/cartoon Wizards (1977)

Did most of his own stunts in the Star Wars movies.

Appeared in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001), which also starred Carrie Fisher. It was the first time the two had starred together since Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983). Neither of them knew that the other was involved in the project until shortly after filming had been completed.

Claims his inspiration for the vocal interpretation as 'The Joker' on the animated "Batman" (1992) came from a mixture of Hannibal Lecter and Jerry Lewis.

In 1995, he appeared in 'Village of the Damned' for director John Carpenter. That same year, Carpenter released another movie: 'In the Mouth of Madness'. A newspaper boy was played by Hayden Christensen, who went on to play his father (Anakin Skywalker) in the 'Star Wars' prequels.

WHERE IS HE NOW: Mark is still acting in films, stage and doing voiceovers for animation. Plus Mark was one of the first stars to jump on the video game craze and has been a featured player/ actor or voice in many of them.

One thing that Mark does lament about is his voice has been typecast. Yep, he has done such a wonderful job as flamboyant villains like the Joker, that these are the only type of voice roles he seems to be offered. In fact, he's got two such voice roles in production or post-production now.

In 2003 he performed in "Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks" at the Belasco Theater on Broadway.

I will say I was TOTALLY amazed by all his credits. While we may not have known Mark was still acting, his body of work is quite long and impressive.

And in 2004 he directed his first film. No other news on if this will be a new direction for him. To be honest once you see his credits you'll understand just how busy this guy is.

Interesting tidbit from Cyndi Boyar (called "Make-up artist to the stars"). She was supposed to work with Mark on a show called 'Dot.com' that was to begin shooting the week of September 11th. After the attacks this show (like so many others) got cancelled.

Cyndi also said, "I can tell you out of all the wonderful celebrities I have worked with in my almost 20 years in this business, he is one of my favorites. He is always happy and would make me laugh. A real pleasure to work with."

Thanks Cyndi..

PETER BARTON
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/peter_barton.html

BIRTH DATE: July 19, 1956, Long Island, New York

CLAIM TO FAME: This is strange... if you ask five people who know who Peter Barton is, you'll get five different answers on what he is famous for.

I'm going to go with two things that he is most noted for. The TV series 'The Powers of Matthew Star' and his role on the soap opera 'The Young & the Restless.'

FAMILY LIFE: Single, Never Married. Did live with actress Kimberly Beck in the early '80s.

INFO: After some initial modeling assignments, Barton moved to Hollywood to make his mark on the entertainment industry. At the age of 22, he was cast opposite Shirley Jones in the NBC series "Shirley," even though he had had no formal training. The studio connected him with prominent acting coach Vincent Chase, and when the series ended, he was cast as the lead in another NBC series, "The Powers of Matthew Star."

TRIVIA: He was badly burned when a stunt went wrong on the set of his series "The Powers of Matthew Star". Production was delayed a year while the he healed.

Majored in chiropractic medicine in New York.

As a youngster, he was terrified of Cruella De Vil from One Hundred and One Dalmatians.

Was thinking of retiring from the film industry until Linda Blair coaxed him into doing 'Hell Night' with her. He now credits that film as bringing him back and has been in the business ever since.

There was a scene in 'Hell Night' where Peter was thrown down a flight of stairs and hurt his leg. In reality, he had really hurt himself and most of his limping wasn't an act.

He's an avid golfer.

Beat out Tom Cruise for the title role in "The Powers of Matthew Star".

WHERE IS HE NOW: There were rumors that Peter had given up acting, but the truth is, he just wasn't getting offered any roles. That changed this year, with the independent film 'Repetition.'

He currently lives in Los Angeles and when he can't land an acting job, he works in the fitness field.

ROBBY BENSON
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/robby_benson.html

BIRTH DATE: January 21, 1956, Dallas, Texas

BIRTH NAME: Robert Segal

CLAIM TO FAME: Robby enjoyed success in the mid 1970s as a teen actor in coming-of-age movies like 'Ode to Billy Joe' and 'One on One' (which he also cowrote).

FAMILY LIFE: Karla DeVito (1982 - present) 2 children. Has a daughter named Lyric and hi son is named Zephyr.

INFO: Robby does it all. From acting, directing, singing teaching and writing he has been in the entertainment industry since he was 12.

I for one had a MASSIVE crush on him when I was growing up and I think I've seen just about every early movie he ever did.

What also is endearing is his marriage. In this day and age of short marriages, especially in Hollywood, he and Karla have remained committed to each other.

TRIVIA: Benson is his mother's maiden name.

He had heart valve surgery in October 1984.

Son of writer Jerry Segal

Brother of Shelli Segal, designer for the Laundry clothing line (Laundry by Shelli Segal).

His wife Karla was the lone female in Meat Loaf’s first 'Bat Out Of Hell World Tour' and the infamous 'Paradise By The Dashboard Light' video.

Probably one of his biggest roles is where he was unrecognizable... He was voice of the Beast in the animated 'Beauty and the Beast.'

He is very active in giving back to the community and has thrown in his services to help. One such cause is for Batten Disease. http://www.bdsra.org/benson.htm

WHERE IS HE NOW: Throughout the years Robby has taught Film Acting at various Colleges and Universities... most recently at Appalachian State University.

Still boyish-looking, Benson spends much of his time these days behind the camera. And seems to be, like so many other actors, getting work doing voiceovers for both cartoons and Video games.

BRIAN BONSALL
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/brian_bonsall.html

BIRTH DATE: December 3, 1981, Torrance, California

CLAIM TO FAME: Brian Bonsall played Andrew Keaton, the youngest of the Keatons in 'Family Ties.' He came to the series in season five and was a regular cast member until the end.

FAMILY LIFE: no info

INFO: Brian was brought to the show to add the cute kid factor that seems to happen late in a series. His career never really took off, although most kids know Brian from the Disney film he made called, 'Blank Check.'

TRIVIA: Got a black armband tattoo on his 18th birthday.

Began bands, Late Bloomers and Thruster in the past year.

Attended Missouri Military Academy for one year

You may also remember Brian from a series of TV commercials he appeared in with Art Carney for Coca Cola.

WHERE IS HE NOW: On May 28, 2004, on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license in Boulder, Colorado. The rumor is that when he was asked by the officer if he had been drinking, he replied, 'plenty.'

He was previously convicted on a DUI charge in 2001.

Brian has thrown himself into music. In may he had this to say, "Music is my passion and it's how I want to spend the rest of my days. I have no interest in returning to acting."

"Even if the band doesn't work out, I want to be associated with music
somehow."

There has been speculation on whether or not Brian worked at a radio station in Detroit in 2003. Some say it was him, and others are saying it was a man impersonating him. The radio station was WRIF Radio where his on-air name is O.D.

WHERE IS HE NOW: When "Kotter" ended, Gabe made the jump to movies, starring in three feature films, "Fast Break," "Tulips," and "Nobody’s Perfect," while continuing to perform stand-up act in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.

He also appeared in two legitimate theater productions, originating the role of "Groucho, A Live In Review" and starring in the national touring company of the successful Broadway comedy, "Doubles." "Groucho" became a well-received HBO special, and has since been performed around the world.

Word is he is working with his co-creator of 'Welcome Back Kotter' to create a new movie musical.

In March 2005, he finished 3rd in the World Poker Tour Event at The Mirage in Las Vegas. Then followed that up with a 2nd place finish in the World Series of Poker ($5,000 Limit) in June 2005.

Gabe has also renewed his interest in stand-up comedy, performing at different venues all across the country.

FAMILY LIFE: Chelsea Noble July 1991 - present. They have 6 children (4 adopted and 2 not)

Brother of actress Candace Cameron (from 'Full House')

INFO: Kirk was a huge star during the run of his sitcom. He made a few movies that didn't do as well as people had thought they would. This kind of hurt his career and he found that roles were not being offered to him.

He came back to the small screen in a new sitcom 'Kirk' that was cancelled after the first season.

TRIVIA: Used to be neighbors with Adam Rich, of "Eight Is Enough" fame.

Kirk is a vegetarian.

Parents named him after Captain James Tiberius Kirk of the original "Star Trek" (1966) series (played by William Shatner).

Met his wife, Chelsea Noble, on the set of "Growing Pains" (1985).

Began appearing in TV commercials at age 9.

WHERE IS HE NOW: Kirk became a born again Christian when he was 20 and he spends most of his time with his family in their Santa Monica home.

Currently, he partners with evangelist Ray Comfort in spreading the Gospel of Jesus to people in America. They have a ministry together called The Way of the Master; a video series where they walk the street sharing the Gospel of Christ with ordinary civilians. They do this as an instructional tape to show Christians how to effectively share their faith, "The way Jesus did." Hence the title of their program, "The Way of the Master."

He has starred in the direct-to-video series "Left Behind" which is based on the popular books.

He also keeps busy with his wife running a summer camp, Camp Firefly, which they founded in 1989 for terminally ill kids and their families in Calaway Gardens, Georgia.
