I think I've voted about 10 times so far, and probably have 8 different lineups.

I've voted a few times and usually have different guys in the line-up with the exception of Tino Martinez. I think this guy is a great athlete who deserves to be voted into the game. I think he's shown that even at his age he still has that magic. Go Tino!

BG: Thanks for voting for Torii even though I do not think he should be in the ASG. Yeah he has been playing well these last three weeks, but that's not enough to win All-Star Votes in my book. I think Jacque Jones is more deserving to go than Torii. I will likely vote for Jacque at this point.

I will assume that you are voting for Wright and Reyes because you are a fan of the Mets. I don't think those two are deserving of All-Star spot.

Overall, you made great picks and I think that's who I am likely voting though I am not voting for any Yankee and White Sock. More of matter of principle than anything. I will reveal my votes at the end of the week, but it's basically going to be similiar to what you voted, BG.

Torii was a tough pick but he was hitting in the .280's when I picked him and is in the top 4 in hr's, rbi's, and sb's of all OF'ers in the AL.. I gave him credit for having an all around good 1st half in many catagories...

The same for nl SS's... Reyes average was .273 at the time I voted and is now down to .260 but he is 2nd in sb's and 3rd in rbi's... If I were to vote again, I'd probably take Lopez from Cincy as he has really turned it up the last week... Too bad Barnes from Colorado got hurt as he was the no brainer before his injury...

Wright at the time of voting was right up there with any other 3B.. He has more sb's than any other and at the time was one of the few hitting over .300 and right up there in rbi's... Glaus is hot now and has great power #'s but a lower average, which is now rising and A. Ramirez has been smoking the ball... I think if I voted again at this point I'd take Ramirez...

First Base: M. Teixeira, TEX........ First Base: D. Lee, CHC
Second Base: B. Roberts, BAL.........Second Base: J. Kent, LAD
Third Base: C. Figgins, LAA......... Third Base: M. Ensberg, HOU
Shortstop: M. Tejada, BAL............Shortstop: F. Lopez, CIN
Catcher: J. Varitek, BOS.............Catcher: R. Hernandez, SD
Outfielder: C. Crawford, TB......... Outfielder: B. Abreu, PHI
Outfielder: V. Guerrero, LAA........ Outfielder: J. Bay, PIT
Outfielder: T. Hunter, MIN.......... Outfielder: C. Lee, MIL
DH: D. Ortiz, BOS

Tough voting this year.
1st Base was a no brainer for me.
2nd was tough, Roberts is having a great year but Soriano as usual is putting up the offensive stats. I gave the nod to Roberts. In the NL I wanted to vote for Utley but gave my vote to Kent.
3rd Base...how could I not vote for A-Rod? I dunno, I just really like Chone Figgins:D I wish he had been listed at SS, 2B and the OF
Felipe Lopez got the nod at SS only because Barmes is out for several months. He would have been my pick. Tejada is just simply the best in the AL, no one else even comes close.
Catcher, another tough pick but in the AL I went with Veritek over Pudge. No one to vote for in the NL so Ramon Hernandez of the Padres will be my choice.
Outfield...there are so many different ways to look at this. Vlad is the best but Hunter needs to be awarded for his all-around play. I really like Carl Crawford as well.
In the NL Abreu and Carlos Lee are just having great years and Jason Bay got my Carl Crawford vote for NL OF cause I just really like the guy.

AL:
1B: Texiera The best first baseman in this league.
2B: Roberts What a story he is and what a season he has had
SS: Tejada AL MVP. Heart and soul of the O's
3B: Blalock Good alternative to Pay-Rod. Deserving too. I will never ever vote for Pay-Rod
C: Varitek Best catcher in the AL. The guy is a gamer
DH: Ortiz Made a name of himself in Boston. Always will be revered in NE
OF: Ichiro, Vlad, and Hunter Ichiro because he is having a great year and the guy is darn good. Vladdy because he is the Angels MVP. I could have went with Podesednik and Sheff, but I don't care for either of them hence why I voted for Torii.

NL:
1B: Lee How could anyone not vote for Lee after the start he has had for the Cubs
2B: Kent Great acquistion for the Dodgers. Houston certainly miss him
SS: Izturis In reality, the options stunk and Bill Plaschke has been whining about how Izturis has gotten zero respect so I voted for him.
3B: Glaus Think Anaheim miss him? He has been a great leader for the D-Backs and he backs it up with his performance. He is a breath of fresh air which has been poisioned last year by Randy Johnson's incessant whining
C: Loduca Not really that crazy about any catchers in the NL to be honest with you
OF: Gonzalez, Green, and Carlos Lee

Gonzo because he is having a solid year
Green has been awesome for the D-Backs
Lee has had a great year for the Brew Crew and a breath of fresh air for that team. It's nice to see Lee do well after he was made a scrapegoat (who else has not been scrapegoated for the White Sox over the years) by that manager at the South Side for the team failures. I am even going to say that Milwaukee got the better end of the deal than Chicago. Lee will be a better long-term than Scotty will be for the Sox.

TW, no Abreu? Abreu blows Green away!

Honestly, unless you just hate Abreu, I cant see how anyone cant vote for him:notme:

.318-9th
.439-3rd
.987-4th
17-sb's-4th
48-rbi's-8th
16-hr's-6th
51-runs-4th

Seriously, this guy is a STUD!

BG: There is this loser name Howard Eskin, who does a sports radio show on WIP in the afternoons. I got to listen to him yesterday and he was creaming Abreu for not coming through in the clutch. He has been one of Abreu's biggest critic on the show. That was one of the biggest reasons why I did not vote for him. Besides I just felt Shawn Green was more of a logical fit.

As for why I call Eskin a loser, well if you ever listen to him on the Internet as I did yesterday, you would be appalled at how he has a job on WIP in Philly. This guy goes out of his way to demean women that call his show and makes fun of them for what they cook. That's disgusting. God if I ever said that, I would be fired and rightfully so.

So I can access WIP on the net? Can you provide a link? I think most Philly people are idiots;)

The station started streaming Wednesday.

I literally tell you not to bother listening Howard Eskin on drive time in the afternoon. The guy is a jagoff. He makes me look like Mr. Rogers in comparision if you ever listen to him. Some of the stuff he says is really shocking and disgusting in terms of the way he rips people and all. The way he demeans people especially women is a joke. I am amazed that he gets away with this at his job. Sure he gets ratings, but geez. The guy is not worth a listen. It's bad when he makes Mike and the Mad Dog look like Mr. Congenality in comparision and when he makes Sid Roseberg (WFAN should have fired his butt the minute he made comments about this lady who had breast cancer) look bad. I am not even sure how he gets ratings. He literally has nothing great to say and he lacks zero substance.

As for Philly fans, I don't think they are that bad from listening to them. I just think fans in the Northeast are just too passionate hence why it makes them sound bad. Philly fans are no different than Boston and NY fans. It's more of a Northeast thing.
