The White Sox made quick work in signing thier #1 draft pick RHP Lance Broadway to a new contract that includes a $1.57 million signing bonus.Broadway was selected with the 15th pick in last week's First Year Players Draft.

Broadway had a 15-1 record with a 1.62 ERA for TCU this season,striking out 151 batters in 117 innings.He had 5 complete games in 19 starts tjhis season.He is 6'4" and weighs 195 pounds.

He led the Horned Frogs to the NCAA Regionals for the first time since 1999.

He was the 1st pitcher selected in the 1st round by the White Sox since
Royce Ring(now with the Mets) was selected at #18 in 2002.

He is expected to join Class A Winston-Salem this weekend.

Do you know how much he will make yearly/monthly until he is in the Majors?

I know a guy who went like 5th-6th round, and he got a $120,000 signing bonus, with like $1,100 a month. Just wondering how much a difference 1st and 5th round is
