View Full Version : MLB Extra Innings
Trots

My local cable company is offering MLB Extra Innings this season. My basic question, to those of you who have the service, is is it worth it? I am also curious about blackout restrictions, especially during Saturday afternoons (Fox) and Wednesday nights (ESPN). About how many extra games a night/day do you see?
I've got to cough up money to upgrade my service plus pay the full season charge, so before I start writing checks I want to check with all of you. Any insights will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have it Trots and I'd say it is definitely worth it!!
If you love watching alot of out of area games in general like I so then you would love it....
I pay $139 for the year for mine through DirecTv...
This is the deal with the whole Fox and ESPN...
You will not get any extra games on Sat afternoons since Fox has all the games covered somewhere or another...But you do get Sat night games from 7 and on.....
ESPN, basically the same way...The thing about ESPN, at least with mine is although I don't get the extra games on my package I do get an ESPN alternate which gived me the alternate game of the weeks that ESPN has in case their main game is rained out...So you do get an extra game on Sun and Wed nights...
The rest of the week, depending on how many games there are on at night you get a ton of games....You figure they promote up 35 out of market games a week and I think that is pretty accurate....You don't much on Sat, Sun or Wed but the rest of the week on a full schedule you can get 7-9 a night....Now this is thru my DirecTv where they have plenty of channels alotted for it...My friend had a digital cable and they only had like 7 channels alotted for it so there would be some nights he's have the full 7 channels with games but I'd have 1 or 2 more games cause his cable company just didnt have the channels available.....Satellite does not have that problem....
Hope this helps you out......
