Geez. That sucked. Swept by the Braves.

Braves win today, 8-1.

Yuck. :(

Plus, the Red Sox won. :(

Sucks.

Depressed. :(

They'd better get a pitcher. :Pissed: A starting pitcher. And fast. :banghead

Well, there's nothing much out in the market for the O's or any team. Lilly is out there, but Blue Jays GM refuse to deal him. The asking price for Jason Jennings of the Rockies is quite high and I think only the Mariners got a slim shot at landing Backe. Schimit is out in the market, too, but Giants GM refuse to deal him. So, there's not many options out there for starting pitching for many teams.

O's are getting the Yankees. The O's have owned the Yankees so far this year, but they badly need Bedard back.

The Astros rejected the Mariners' offer of OF Randy Winn for RHP Brandon Backe. Supposely I thought it was a rumor, but an actual offer by the Mariners that Astro regreted. I got the information from Yahoo Sports MLB.

I'm hearing A.J. Burnett could be out there and the O's might be involved in. Marlines are willing to trade Burnett, a free agent at the end of series, and the O's look like they might make the deal.

Deal would be A.J. Burnett and Encarnacion for Daniel Cabrera or Hayden Penn, reliever Jorge Julio and outfielder Larry Bigbie. Both Burnett and Encarnacion are free agents at the end of the season. No completely absurd rumor deal either. Consider Marlins need bullpen help and could use another bat while and can move one of their ace starters. O's badly need a conistent starting pitcher.

Though, I doubt the any deal will be done. Remember, the O's could had Derek Lee on their team a few years ago.

Daniel Cabrera and Hayden Penn are staying put. No way are they going in a trade.

Mark my words.

Hayden Penn is too good to trade, so I don't see the O's trading him, but Cabrera would be a risk. While he's been nothing, but inconsitent most of time, when he's on, he's awesome. What happen if he gets rid of that inconsitent habit? Becomes a star pitcher.

With Burnett, you'll get another good consitent start for this year to go with Lopez and Bedard. Ponson and Chen could go either way and Cabrera still been inconsitent all year, so getting another pitcher to make the starting rotation stronger a good move in the short run, but they'll also lose Julio, which they can't lose, because if they take the deal, then might lose Burnett and Encarnacion to free agency and also keep in mind this also B.J Ryan final year of his contract, so Julio can become the closer again if the O's fail to sign him. The deal will help the O's contend much more this year. Depends if you want to make yourself stronger this year and take a gamble trying to re-sign Burnett and also Ryan or stick with Cabrera and Julio.
