Anything on Schmidt

I know we don't really need a starter, we should go for relievers, but this is all i'm hearing about, as far as who Boston's interested. Do we really need him, can he be good at a park like Fenway?

florida is asking a ton for burnett. like julio and Daniel Cabrera plus a prospect. baltimore would be idiotic to do that.

I didn't hear the O's were interested in Schmidt, but of course I heard they were interested in Burnett.

If Burnett was signed for beyond this year, then it wouldn't be such an idiotic move, but since I found out Burnett isn't signed beyond this year, O's would be a bit idiotic to make this deal. Taking the O's into account, I doubt they'll make any deal.

FYI...Burnett is injured A LOT. I don't understand all the interest. It's like last year with the NYYs. They took Wright when anyone who'd followed his career even slightly knew he'd be a bad signing.

Wright has such a bad era in the past 6+ years, except last year.

Wright has only had 2 good years. 1997, when he was with the Indians, and last year. THAT IS IT! A Yankee fan of my acquaintance says that Cashman should be fired for that one.
