Had an interview today for home support taking care of a man named Steve who is a c-6 Quadrapeligic... well I wasn't even half way through the questions when he told his fiancee not to bother with the rest of the interview, I had more experience than anyone else they interviewed and he loved me. I was hired on spot! I start tomorrow morning. I'm so excited! I really need the extra money.

Thanks Guys :) I started today, just observing his waking up, getting washed dressed, trach, g-tube and cathador routines etc. They were very pleased with me because I already knew most of the stuff they were showing me. The only thing I have never done before was the cathador and that looks simple enough. They said they usually give the new workers a weeks worth of observation and then a weeks worth of watching the new staff do it, but when I go in on Monday they are going to watch me do it instead and after a shift or two I should be good to go on my own. So basically things went well. I'm tired as hell though, been working midnights all week on 2 - 3 hours sleep a day because all this and other things have been going on. But as my mom says, I'm young, I can handle it. Though I have tonight and tomorrow off so it's a relax and early to bed night tonight and try to get back into a regular sleep routine. Anyway, I've rambled long enough :D Thanks again guys :)
