Biggio hit on elbow for record-setting 268th plunk

DENVER -- Craig Biggio was hit on the elbow by Colorado's Byung-Hyun Kim on Wednesday, breaking the modern record for being hit by a pitch.

Biggio was hit on the padding guarding his right elbow during the fourth inning of Houston's game against the Rockies, marking the 268th time he's been plunked, the post-1900 record. He tied Don Baylor's record in the fifth inning Tuesday night, when Colorado's Jason Jennings hit him in the lower back.

Biggio has been hit 12 times this year, his 10th time in double-digits in 12 seasons.

The only thing missing from Bidge's game today was a double  Thought it was cool that he tied Baylor's mark on Baylor's 56th birthday, and then set it today against the team that has hit him most often in his march to the crown :D
