Randy Johnson has not been pitching his best, Pavano is not pitching to his potential, Mussina's stuff is not working and Kevin Brown is washed up. Instead of dealing someone like Sheffield they should get more starting pitching. Send Johnson for someone. I hope that when Jaret Wright comes back he'll be a positive impact on the staff. :lmao: But that probably won't happen. We need to pull together and win some games but to do that we need starting pitching.

They will have to start with young prospects and rebuild all over again. :ugh:

the only way you can get pitching help to last a long time is exactly what Kiwi said: build with prospects. thats what has helped the cubs the past three years: all their pitching prospects. (yah i know we suck, but we woulda sucked worse without em)

Send Johnson for someone.
Too bad we sent and spent so much on him.

Well If we deal Johnson we might get some better help. Trade Johnson for someone who can win like 14 games per season and then bring up some top prospect from the clippers.

I doubt they will deal Johnson this year but who knows, anything is possible with George.

I agree we need to build again. Steinbrenner needs to stop looking for these big names because at this point int he game they are too old anyway.

The 3 words Steinbrenner needs to remember: Younger, Younger, Younger.

Look at Cano and Wang, they've been pretty good for us... I think we should start building up in the farm a little bit, this season is over, maybe the Yankees should fold it and just test out the farm :notme:

BRILLIANT SKIP, BRILLIANT!

It's kinda sad that we had to bomb a season for the FO to realize this startling fact that everyone else in baseball had already known for a while.

I would LOVE to rebuild. I actually look FORWARD to rebuilding. This 05 team may be able to pull it together and steal the WC or even the division. God knows they have the talent. But I don't see this team going anywhere in the playoffs. There are too many flaws, too many holes to get far. I would rather pack up the season and start trading veterans for prospects than attempt to fix this flawed team--possibly make the playoffs--and (if we do) get bounced in the first round.
