#1 Randy Johnson
#2 Gary Sheffield
#3 Jason Giambi
#4 Tony Womack (only because they need a good leftfielder

I say we get rid of Tony Womack immediately! He is completely useless and waste of money.

I think it would be a good idea to deal Womack for couple of younger pitchers.

Honestly i can't even choose, because it has reached a point that as i read the names more than one problem arose with each one of them. Oh boy how to choose.....

I agree we have Cano at second and if they can deal Womack for a centerfielder Matsui can return to his natural posisition in left. Instead of dealing Womack for pitchers get rid of Johnson for some top prospects. My two picks are Johnson and Womack to be traded from New York

what the hell is this crap about Sheffield? he's been fabulous for us, I don't want to see him traded at all. And you know what, I can see why he's getting frustrated; this team sucks. I'm starting to give up too
:sigh:

1. Randy's not going anywhere. George has too much pride for that.

2. Sheffield would and should get traded should the Yanks decide to rebuild (which I doubt will happen). He has the most trade value being he absolutely rocks. I would hate to see him go, but if he could net us some sweet pitching prospects I won't complain.

3. Forget about trading Giambi, he's not going anywhere.

4. Tony Womack will bring back nothing. Absolutely nothing. Not even a used shoe. Nothing. We should just release him and stop his misery, or somehow, someway, convince Joe to use Tony exclusively in a Dave Roberts-like pinch running role.

Someone not on the list but who should definitely be on the list is Tom Gordon. With all the teams in need of bullpen help, he has the most trade value of any Yankee, with Sheff right after him.

This hole is soooooooooo big right now, that it will take longer than one season to get out of. George wants it so bad, that he would do anything, like over pay for his players. Which makes it almost impossible to trade. Even if someone could afford Sheff, who would take him? Dudes like a million years old. And Milky is correct, Womack has zero value. I cant say that Im not enjoying this, but I do feel for the Yanks fans. As they say in RSN, theres always next year. :D

Ok, no one is going to take Johnson, he's old and is being paid too much. No one will take Giambi, he's not proving anything, and once again, is being paid too much. Sheffield should not be traded because he is arguably our best player and our MVP. Womack blows, no one wants him, we can only replace him with someone better.

Any team in need of offensive help down the stretch would be interested in Sheffield. His contract isn't unreasonably huge (only making $13 million I think) and he's only signed through 2006. Even at his geriatric age he's still a beast with the bat.

The Yanks should absolutely trade Sheff. He would bring value. The problem with BOTH our teams is

A: When you spend like we spend, rebuilding is NOT an option.

B: No one is running away with this division, so you can't rebuild because you can win this year.

WE ARE F*CKED.

That's enough of a reason why the Yankees will not trade Sheffield. Fixing center field is the first thing on the Yankees' list, since there's little starting pitcher and relief pitching on the market and there's a couple of CF just waiting to be dealt. There's Encarnacion and Wilson.

If A's continue playing like they are, then they have no reason to deal Kotsay.

Yankees should be able to deal for Encarnacion and Wilson at some point. Florida asking price might be too high, so I'm more incline for Wilson end up New York.
