Brian Cashman should be fired. Dropped from the organization imediately. He won't deal anyone and he got Johnson who was a flop when he should have went after Pedro, And he won't get rid of Sheffield or Womack. Cashman Should Be Dropped!!!

Pedro was never going to join this team. I don't care what anybody says... he was just driving up the price

Brian Cashman didn't get Randy. George did.

It would be foolish to get rid of Sheffield unless we're packing in the season. (And a footnote, Cashman wanted to go after Vlad, but George insisted we sign Sheffield back in 2004...Sheff's been great and all but Vlad is in his own stratisphere).

Womack was recommended by the Tampa faction of the organization, not by Cash.

Cashman has said that he is against trading youth for veterans, something that has been George's trademark. Cashman is the one trying to save Cano and Wang for being traded for Juan Pierre. He is not what's wrong with the Yankees. He and Stick Michael are the only sound voices in the brain trust. They're the ones who will fix this mess that George and his Tampa boys have made.

They swapped with Padres... Quantrill for Redding and May.

What the hell are they thinking? Redding and May aren't that good pitchers :ugh:

Blame Cashman!

Blame George, if you must blame people. Remember, Cashman want to get the younger Vlad, but George opt for Sheffield. Yes, the trade doesn't show much, but you can build around Vlad, Sheffield got a few more years in him. I never understand why George wanted Sheffield more than Vlad.

Getting Johnson was George, not Cashman. Enough said.

If Cashman was actually a GM that had more freedom of a GM, then I'm sure he would have got good youthful players instead of being forced to play by George's gun for hire method of hiring a bunch of veterans each year to win.

It's so true, my mom and just about everyone she talks to argues about whether its Cashman or George, and honestly its George. Since he has been trying to take more control over the team we have been aquiring old out of game players. Cashman is only doing what he is told, so if you want to be mad at him or blame him, blame him for trying to keep his job instead of growing balls and telling George what should really happen.
