Congratulations to Mark Buehrle,Jon Garland, and Paul Konerko on thier selection to the 2005 AL All-Star Game in Detroit.

I'm very happy that we have 3 players going right now.

Garland and Buehrle were no-brainers.But I'm very happy for Konerko.Although,I would have loved to see Dustin Hermansen go.

Congratulations guys.

We need to get cracking on the Podsednik vote here.

He trails the Yankee SS by a hair in the final vote. We can't let the SS in.

We have less than 24 hours to get him in. :gt:

I've voted a few times, will probably do a good amount of voting tommorrow afternoon while Im sitting at home bored.

Who are you voting in the NL? It's pretty tough competition, been voting Oswalt though

That was a tough one for me between Oswalt and Trevor Hoffman.

Oswalt and Cliff Floyd have feuded over the years, so I voted for Hoffman.

Just so you know, a group of Mets fans I know (including yours truly) have cast a couple of hundred votes for Podsednik...EACH. One guy even bribed his sons to spend an hour voting -- they get to stay up an extra hour for having done it! The idea of having the powers that be at MLB check our IP addresses and seeing that we're all from NY must be terribly shocking to them! :laff:

Thanks for the Podsednik votes

The final totals will be released in about 5 minutes.

It looks like Scotty may go in,unless something really odd happens.

I've seen some comments from Yankee fans over at another site, and they are in stunned disbelief. And in denial. It's about time. :laff:

Like last October wasn't stunning enough.

Some of them are slow on the uptake. They still think they're World Champions.

Back in 2002, I was at a Mets/Yankees game (it was the one where Shawn Estes missed hitting Clemens' fat ass, but managed to hit a home run off him -- I think the homer pissed him off more) and a Yankee fan got pissed at me because I was celebrating the fact that Clemens was knocked out of the game. He told me (and I SWEAR I'm not making this up) I needed "to have more respect for the World Champions." I slowly unbuttoned my authentic Al Leiter jersey to display my Diamondbacks World Championship t-shirt and said "You must be at the wrong game. The Mets are playing the Yankees, not the Diamondbacks." He cursed at me and stalked off.

And, believe it or not, almost the same exact thing happened to a friend in another part of the stadium during the same game. Ask BayStateBabe. I saw her after that game and she can vouch for me.
