Well I had a partal felling to Torii but heck what the White Sox are doing there is no reason he shouldnt be part of the All-Star Team.

I voted for Torii until I saw that Podsednik had a better chance of beating Jeter. Then a slew of my Mets friends turned out to help put Podsednik over the top.

As the immortal Mick Jagger said, "you can't always get what you want," and it's about time Jeter learned that.

For those of you keeping track here.Podsednik racked up an amazing 3.9 million votes between Sunday and last night. :eek:

WSCR's Mike North joked this morning that Pods should be starting since he got more votes than anyone. :laff:

White Sox fans voted for Podsednik.

RSN voted for Podsednik.

Mets Subdevelopment (we're not quite a nation) voted for Podsednik.

Yankee fans split their vote between Jeter and Matsui (I'm not kidding -- I saw a post at another board where fans didn't understand how Jeter could lose because he'd been voting for BOTH Yankees all day), and they're now on suicide watch at Bellevue.

Life is good.

I see so many people bashing the fans for this vote, and it really pisses me off. The fans voted in Miguel Tejada as a starter (who's in the running for a 2nd MVP award) and then the players took over. If the players wanted Jeter so badly, then maybe THEY should have voted for him.
