The teams will be heading to training camp any day now. Time to start watching players and trying to judge just what their value might be.
With 7 offensive players taken in the first ten picks of the NFL draft, there should be some impact rookies this year. (That's not intended to dismiss any of the players taken later in the first round, second, etc. - but they wre taken that high to step right in)
Pre camp thoughts
1.Alex Smith - not much help, no matter how good he is, rookie QBs aren't fantasy starters.
2.Ronnie Brown - it all depends on Ricky coming back
3.Braylon Edwards - should get touches but also will get doubled - too bad Winslow's an idiot
4.Cedric Benson - Even if he starts out sharing time he will get all the short yardage touches
5.Carnell Williams - as the season goes on, he will get the ball more and more
7.Troy Williamson - the Vikings will throw him the ball deep several times a game
10.Mike Williams - watch the camp, is he a starter in three WR offense or the third WR off the bench
