Sad day for the Devils organization and also for hockey as Pat Burns will not be returning as the Devils hockey coach. That's too bad as he is entering treatment again. He was diagonsed with cancer last year and apparently, it is not going well. Hopefully, Burnsie will continue to beat the odds. He is going to be missed. I thought he did a darn good job in his two years here including winning the Stanley Cup. With that said, I think it was best that the Devils had to move on. As good as he was, eventually he was going to lose his players.

Larry Robinson will likely be the coach. With him there, Devils games will be exciting to see at least and you know he will go for it in OT instead of going for a tie like Burns would always do in OT if the game is tie. With that said, I wish Lamoriello would go after Mike Babcock, who is a free agent since the Ducks never renewed his contract for some crazy reason.

I hope for the best for Pat Burns and hopefully he will be coaching in the NHL down the road.

Poor guy, Cancer is something no one should ever have. I wish him the best.
