NEW YORK (AP) - Braves outfielder Andruw Jones and Red Sox slugger David Ortiz are among the eight players who will represent their home countries in the Home Run Derby during All-Star weekend.

Jones, who leads the majors with 27 homers, will represent Curacao on Monday in a new format that mirrors the first World Baseball Classic, a 16-team event during spring training next year.

Ortiz will represent the Dominican Republic. Others selected include: Philadelphia outfielder Bobby Abreu of Venezuela; Pittsburgh outfielder Jason Bay of Canada; Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Hee-Seop Choi of Korea; Milwaukee outfielder Carlos Lee of Panama; Detroit catcher Ivan Rodriguez of Puerto Rico; and Texas first baseman Mark Teixeira of the United States.

This year's Home Run Derby is at Detroit's Comerica Park, where the All-Star game will be played Tuesday.

The top four players in the first round advance to the semifinals, and the top two in the semis move on to the final.

I'll vote for Texiera, closely followed by Ortiz or Pudge.
