How about those A's sweeping the White Sox at the Cell this weekend? That was awesome. I noticed something. This A's team don't seem scared of the Pale Hose and it has showed this year. I wish other teams can do the same. It seems the Indians, Tigers, Royals, and the NL West teams just seem intimidated by the White Sox.

I am really rooting for the A's to win the AL West because I would love to see the A's play the White Sox in the first round. I feel the A's could finally end their first round problems by playing the White Sox.

BTW, you ought to give the A's credit for making the most out of their season. They could have been done right after getting their brains beaten in by the Yankees and the Red Sox. They continue to play hard and they have been rewarded by wins. They have not quit unlike some teams in baseball who already called it a year like the Rockies and the Devil Rays. I think the A's can win the AL West. Angels are way overrated. They have no pitching. A's are more than capable to win the West. In fact, I think they will.

I tip my hat to the A's their for thier play this weekend.

I was at Saturday night's game when Zito pitched,he was just plain filthy out there.Honestly,he had no-hit stuff out there. He was throwing the best curve ball that I've ever seen. How the Sox only got 2 hits off him Saturday night is beyond me.

To say that Oakland has Chicago's number would be an understatement. The A's have only lost 1 season series against the White Sox since 1998.

As far as the A's winning the West,I think that's out of the question.Thier best bet is a Wild Card,IMHO.

Here's how the A's have fared against the White Sox since 1997;

1997; 3-8
1998; 7-4
1999; 7-3
2000; 3-6
2001; 8-1
2002; 7-2
2003; 5-4
2004; 7-2
2005; 7-2

I don't think Angels are that good. Sure they are resillnent, but their pitching is not that good. You never know what you are going to get from Colon, Lackey, Escobar, or Washburn. Their bullpen is very good though, but it's not going to matter much if the starters can't get it done. Boston exposed that starting staff last year in the ALDS.

True,I always thought that the Angels rotation was a bit overrated. Those 3 that you mentioned can have thier HOF nights, and other night's they could stink up the joint.

But I still think that the Angels offense can overcome off nights from thier pitching.

The 2nd half will be interseting to watch all around the AL.
